Tips for AoS Crucible Headshots
I'm not very good at Crucible, and I'm struggling to get precision kills with hand cannons (a weapon type I'm also not amazing with). I'm not crying for an easier quest, I'd just like to ask if anyone out there can give me some tips to land these headshots.
I'm a Warlock using a Duke Mk 44 with Steadyhand HCS, Rapid Hit, Armor-Piercing Rounds, and Rampage, with Tier 10 Masterwork in Reload Speed.
Enemies usually get behind cover or are gunned down by my teammates before I can fish for that killing shot, and running off on my own or trying to flank makes it easy for them to team-shoot me.
Is there any different angle I can approach this at?
Edit: Sturm / Drang seems to be working better. Thanks everyone!
Edit 2: I switched to Better Devils and was able to get it!

I know when you are in a gunfight it gets hectic and you start spamming your trigger, but try to breath and try to focus, stick to one handcannon you like and get the feel for the recoil and you will do good, also dont always aim for the head, two body taps and a lined up headshot usually gets the job done with less bullets than missing a few aimed head shots

2 답변작성자: name-not-needed 9/23/2018 1:28:17 PMTo anyone who is bad with hand cannons specifically, Crimson is the way to go. I’m the absolute worst with hand cannons in PvP and I got it done within the hour. EDIT: Oh yeah. Rumble helps too. Less team shotting and stolen kills.

3 답변I didn’t like using crimson for the 25 headshots. Mostly because if the third hit is a body shot and kills them, it doesn’t count. I swapped to an aggressive frame hand cannon and got that map that’s like... a cabal airship base. The narrow hallways made laning and headshots a breeze. Got more than half my kills in two games.

stay with me in this one.... fighting lion + better devils. wait wait wait! dont go! trust me! im sitting at 2022 in comp. ive never switched to a different loadout throughout my grind in comp. a body shot gets em down to a 2 tap, a direct head shot gets em to 144 or theyre dead. 144 direct shot, you 1 tap with devils. they get behind cover waiting to bait you? bank a fighting lion shot in that direction, youll know theyre there or not, teammates are getting the kills too fasst? get an assist by blasting a shot at a gun fight half way across the map. but then you have a second issue, you gotta learn how to use the fighting lion properly

2 답변Use the trust hand cannon you get from gambit. Thats all the advice you need. Use that and get used to using hand cannons

1 답변Sturm and drang all the way even without drang, if you’re a warlock just switch to empowering rift high impact handcannons get an easy 2 tap

Congrats on getting it! Ace is such a fun gun. I used my masterworked Crimson to get there. Then I used my new Ace to grind out the rest of the 100 kills for the IB bounty. Just be warned that Ace's recoil kicks higher up vertically than what you are used to with Better Devils. I had a hard time maintaining crit shots at full rate of fire in PvE like I can Better Devils. Had to slow down and concentrate at first.

1 답변With any archetype that isn’t a 180 rpm you have to pace your shots. For example Ace of Spades will fire 140 rpm, but if you shoot wildly as fast as you can, it’s very difficult to get headshots— and you will ghost bullets because of it. 140s especially require pacing, although devils seems to be somewhat of an exception. 110s don’t require pacing so much but it’s because they are very slow to begin with. I got a nice roll on the Duke but I can’t tell if it’s any good because I’m still reloading it.
