Sad.
But at least all you whiners will stop crying about it for two days...
Can’t wait for the flood of whining when those same people get to the 25 precision kills in crucible step. How many days before bungle nerfs that to normal kills.
edit: I stated this in several replies, but to be clear, this is not about elitism. I don’t care who has or gets the gun, it effects my enjoyment zero percent if every single player has the ace, it is a fun gun after all.
My issue is that Bungie made a very good gun, set it behind a very reasonable quest, then nerfed said quest because of people crying. That is bad for the game in my opinion. Vanilla d2 suffered from just handing everything out.
Not everything should be attainable without considerable effort. And as for it’s part of the story, ok so is every raid weapon. Should those be guaranteed drops? No, you have to put it in the effort.

The biggest issue with the Gambit step was people camping or not playing the objective to wait for invaders & kill them as soon as they invade. It was hurting Gambit for everyone. Ever since they changed the quest, I've had competitive games ever since. Not a single throwaway game so far.

Lol. Everything in this game is a participation medal... you get stuff just from playing the game. So what they changed the quest step, do you already have the gun? If yes, then you have nothing to worry about. If you don't, then you can work on it.

작성자: LLoydizle 9/21/2018 2:07:13 PMWho cares if other people who didn’t do the 5 kills get the gun now? You have the gun yourself and now others can get it too, so what’s the actual problem? How is that effecting you in the game really? I swear, some of you people get triggered for the dumbest reasons.

11 답변Stop throwing around the term elitists and telling people to stop "whining" just like the "whiners". If they started giving out raid gear after strikes, most of these same people would s*** their pants. You'd no longer wanna wear it or use the weapons. Lie and say you would, it's okay. Only reason this is different is because the majority couldn't do it. Let's Nerf all quests so everyone can get everything. The game is strictly about fun right? Then no loot should be exclusive to anything. It should all be obtainable by every level of player. Stop saying it's okay for the AoS when you know damn well you don't agree with what I just said. I hated the Leviathan raid and never got MC, shouldn't I get an alternative way to get it?

But in gambit, nobody wants to go up against another player 30+ levels above you using a sleeper or super and you have a hand cannon. Not everyone is a crucible player and not everyone wants to play that game mode.
-
I haven't finished the first step yet but I don't see why everyone was complaining about it. I got 2 kills on my first gambit match and only needed one more before they changed it. I'd be happy if they changed the crucible headshot kills part to just kills but its whatever I guess
-
Why would you go for an exotic when your power Lvl is so low, just means you have to infuse it many times.I for one finished the gambit 5 invader kill and I am on the person kills.Wait to get around the 550-560 mark to finish.
-
The 5 invaders kills step sucked, I have AoS btw. All the other steps were enjoyable and I am not a PVP guy. I hope Bungie has made the revised first step a grind fest so players still have to earn the flagship exotic of the Forsaken. However, I am glad and happy for players who were stuck on this step.

i see both sides of the story here. lets be fair the gambit quest wasn't just hard it was crap. I dont really care if i get that gun or not, I have the Luna howl and am working my way 5100 points in glory which shouldn't take to long but i would prefer that then the 5 kills in gambit. the quest doesn't even make sense like why does it have to be invaders why cant i go over there and kill them with a hand cannon. I dont really care if they change it or not.

You seriously are pretty thick. Quest says what to do, going in we did the quest but find out its bugged/incorrectly worded. Bungie fix. All these dumbshits start filling their nappys and sucking a servitor off because somehow it makes them feel their achievement isn't 'speciols'

There's only one big problem I see with your thinking here. It assumes Bungie didn't just make a mistake or a bad judgment call on the quest to begin with. You say you'd have been fine if the gun was just given out free after the campaign, so I assume your problem is the perceived 'bowing to the whining' that apparently occurred, am I right? This means your problem with this situation is the 'dumbing-down-after-the-fact' and not the actual quest step itself. Supported further by almost everyone saying the original quest was easy enough - so why are ya'll upset that they made it 'easy'? My point is, maybe Bungie always intended for this step to be 'general' kills and screwed up the code. It's not like they've never bugged anything before - and the original wording on this quest absolutely did NOT indicate the real requirement... Nobody would have said a word if this was the actual quest step all along - hell, if they'd given the gun to everyone with no quest, nobody would have said anything. It only became a thing when people complained, then a war of real-world ideals represented in a video game. Which I personally find hilarious. Because obviously there should never be any escape from real-world philosophies or political crusades, especially not in our entertainment... Anyway, just my thoughts...

3 답변Why is this a thing? I hope everyone gets it, the entire DLC is centered around Cayde. I'd rather use new stuff anyway, not recycled D1 exotics. And yes, it is elitism. You made an entire post whining about whiners lol

작성자: Spacejim12 9/21/2018 11:43:09 AMI made first part of the quest after a week of Forsaken. While every other parts of it are ok, I really think that 5 invader kills from Hand Cannons were a bad idea. I saw a lot of players who drop everything when invader signal happend and took their Better Devils just to die in next second from Sleeper or Super. And lost 5-10 motes at the same time! I think it's a right nerf. Maybe more precision kills in Crucible or even precision kills only in strikes, but this first part of the quest with 5 HC kills of invader really ruined the Gambit.
