That's actually why I quit the first Destiny. Even though I knew exactly what to do from watching streams, never found a group that accepted players for the Oryx raid who hadn't gotten the emblem from completing it. People were such assholes about it that I said frick it. Never looked back.

Man never let groups you join get to you like this! I understand there are some toxic teams out there but just hit the leave fireteam and party button and you’re good. If you join teams being idiots leave and find a team that suits you. Never let the idiots stop you from enjoying the game.

Destiny 1 players were very helpful, until the taken King came out. That’s where lfg became a bunch dingleberries. I know this because I was a Sherpa for a while. Took a break from the game and got into ttk a month after it was released and I found it was hard to find help.

100% agree. I managed to get a clear early and saw how awful LFG was so I spent a full week taking teams of 5 noobs through so they can all get he emblem and have better luck x.x some raids took 6+ hours but I was helping the community little by little

Yeah, I used to find a TON of helpful people for the other raids and the nightfalls until TTK. Some were even fun to actually do the content with. Even HoW in the PoE. Usually it's very to the point, but I had a couple fun people. TTK, though, was comparitively a barren wasteland of degenerates who couldn't bear to wipe even once for any reason. Weird shift there.

I've cleared every raid 30 times plus a piece but you will never catch me requiring anything other than recommended power level...I think it's funny that people think just because someone hasn't done it, that they aren't capable...everybody has to start somewhere

Yes, because your single experience is the only true experience, right? Because you had it luckier than I, I must surely be lying! Get off your high horse, mate. I wasn't lucky with the people I encountered. I wasn't willing to stick around longer than I already had to find someone who was willing to have along people who hadn't done the raid. When I saw that kind of mentality for the first entire week, it ruined any interest I had had left in the game.
-
That's why I included, "what little interest". I was already pretty much done with the game, so it wasn't hard to leave it, especially when I'd encountered those kind of people many times before. And yes, "single experience", as in, you yourself had luck finding more open groups. I did not. I had a different experience from you, and one I had little patience for.
Look I’m not going to argue just pointing out not everyone is an elitist d bag that requires you to sell your grandparents on the black market just to join them. Anyway have nice day/night 👍
Have to agree, my clan happily sherpa'd every raid in D1 using lfg and we never asked for any requirements except "have mic and bring thumbs", we happily run the guided playlist and sherpa via that now (43 guided raids and counting), like all things there are idiots looking for a carry and idiots doing the carrying, don't like? Leave. Simple, but don't tar us all with the same brush.
