What this means is basically, WE'RE SCREWED!
I've felt worse and worse about Forsaken since launch. What could be a really fun time has been sullied by RNG and a progression system that seems to be designed for professional streamers. And now I find out that now only am I at least 2 weeks from even running the raid, I'm also at least 2 weeks from the seed of light that drops from the first raid encounter (and even that seed could be an RNG drop). After all the positive changes to this game, why is Bungie showing us the door?

Why does everyone feel the entitled need to hit the raid asap? If you aren't ready for endgame yet so be it, take the time to get ready and stop rushing it. So what if others are already there? You dont get a silly emblem for beating it in first 24 hours? So what. People are feeling way to entitled about how low a level they should be able to raid at. Raids are ENDGAME activities for a reason.
People are feeling way to entitled about how low a level they should be able to raid at.
Yes indeed any would anyone be annoyed at getting locked out of having a viable opportunity to play the content they paid for having worked 50+ hours in 10 days to level up. That should have been plenty, they’re basically screwing over anyone with a life so streamer kiddies can look good to their followers. As for endgame, if only there were another version of the raid available, tougher and higher light ... for ... the real ... prestige players.

You're overusing the word "entitled" here, Guardian. People don't feel they are "owed" the opportunity to run the raid, they just want to, and in the past they would have been able to have been raid ready by now. With the changes, they are now artificially gated by soft caps from being raid ready without grinding their faces off and they are frustrated. That's not entitlement, that's wanting to play the game. Yes yes yes, the grind is great, it has single handedly saved Destiny, and anyone who disagrees is a pleb. People forget that Bungie has consistently presented us with a moving target of very grindy, to less grindy, to not at all grindy, back to very grindy. A lot of people who have joined in during the middle of Destiny's life joined a fun looter shooter with minimal grind and now have to adjust to the way things are... until Bungie changes it again.
