I agree in that the d2 ace of spades is a mix of both the original ace and hawkmoon, much like the warlock helm they brought back from d1, but if you’re going to compare them you have to compare the d1 versions where hawkmoon is superior.

I know AoS is great, I just would like to use Hawkmoon again.
