I feel ya kn the gambit crap. It took me two days to knock out this part of the quest. Why? Because in had jackasses standing around and somehow me and another dude were actually clearing mobs and banking notes etc and then when the invader would come I'm already fighting ads and I'm an easy kill. What I started to do was just kill crap from a distance and never pick up motes. Then when the invader came I had crimson ready and just actively searched them out. My last two invader kills were easy since the invader was taking on my teammates when I came from behind. But the first three kills were a nightmare. Ive got the ace now and love it...but if this crap comes up on my other characters itll get trashed and I'll buy a new ace from my collection. Because I refuse to mess with it again. Honestly that crap ruined gambit for me for a little bit right now. Now im working on the Chaperone quest which need arc, solar and void kills in the crucible. So I see that being fun lmao
