PVE in general and strikes specifically are so much more fun with the way loadout works. You feel so much more powerful with a good fusion cannon or shotgun to fall back on with orange bars. Random rolls are great. Got a 4 burst pulse with outlaw and rampage and it's exquisite for pve. Got same gun with zen and full auto and it's great in pvp. I had 7k weapon parts and turning them in was exciting because I knew there weren't instant shards and dupes aren't true dupes. Tangled Shores is a great patrol area. I like the dailies and bounties. I was done with Destiny 2 pre-Forsaken, moving on to Warframe. But I'm back with Forsaken. I will say, I hate the MW req for infusing. Also, you have to push through the blue 30-50 phase. You definitely feel less powerful and your stats are shit. Recovery at 3 or 4 on hunter instead of 7 was rough. But once you get 50, your legendaries back, and a couple of good rolls, you definitely feel more powerful than pre-Forsaken.

It is worth it they have done so much for the game. All the weapons have been amazing so far I love the rolls. It is awesome that the armor has perks so that we can make builds. The new sub classes I have played have been pretty nice. The story is told extremely well and it is a decent length. On top of that they gave us two worlds that are a pretty decent size as well. I really enjoy that they brought back the grind as well as lore hunting!

They've really brought the grind back into Destiny, so it's not for the casuals, but if this is one of your Hobbies then it's definitely worth it. Wouldn't want to spoil too much for you tbh, but personally I think that they've really knocked the ball out the park with this update. They have let their imagination run riot on this, (but this may be down to Vicarious Visions?) IDK, Game feels way different to me now, and for the better. Some of the new guns are cracking. Loving the new horde mode in the Well of Light. Gambit is a right giggle and 'The Warden of Nothing' strike is one of the best strikes I think they've ever done. The Tangled Shore is a fantastic new location, with so much to discover. There is a hell of a lot of content to unlock and you can't do it all at once. It takes time. You unlock as you progress. I thought it was a way worth the money after all that, and then I go and unlock the 'Dreaming City' which is simply incredible IMO. Best location I think they've created. Only downside is the infusion process is long and drawn out, you have to really think what it is you want to upgrade. It's expensive where Masterwork Cores are concerned! I basically ended up throwing all my old year 1 Weapons and Armour into the Vault. The only things I've upgraded are Raiden Flux, Orpheus Rig and Sleeper, Telesto and Sins Just my two pence worth. TLDR = I'd have to say a big fat yes.

100% worth it, we're only a week in and i've been loving it, slowly grinding my power up while playing a lot of Gambit since I really want to complete triumphs for that mode. I'd like to try and fill the lore book as well. But the triumph system is just great I'm glad they've added it.

its kinda like a taken king 2.0 just better and bigger and more explorable space. only thing that pisses me off is the infusion system, but bungie heard that and will applay a fix soon. had a ton of fun with my friend and cant wait to explore the dreaming city with him. and i have to say, the grind i loved in D1 is back again.

If you like it and want to literally waste your life. I mean literally your life then go for it. I’ll just spend time with my family and friends. If the invokes a rude reply then see the paragraph above... peace

Forsaken is worth the price, I bought it and am happy for it, but I do not see the need or have the desire to buy the yearly pass that goes along with it. Gambit is a really fun experience. There have been some serious clutch moments in my games. I played Crucible practically all day yesterday, haven't done that since year 1 in Destiny 1. The bows are strong, but I do think they (and some hand cannons) have too high of a bullet magnetism (aim assist) for head shots.
