Now, first off, this might just be a 'Me' problem, but I hate PvP. Mostly because I suck at it. I don't find it fun. Now, winning or losing isn't the issue, it's that I don't have much skill at it. And at my age, that likely won't improve.
So my complain is the Ace of Spades being locked behind Gambit and Crucible. I did the bare minimum to get the 400 Solstice stuff, hoping I wouldn't have to go through that hell again so soon, but Bungie you proved me wrong.
Couldn't there be an alternate path or something for those of us who get frustrated getting our butts handed to us because we're just not that good at player vs. player?

1 답변작성자: empirej13 9/6/2018 10:23:03 PMFirst off, I agree completely with the OP. I have left much better games than D2 because of this EXACT ISSUE: Forced PvP. I intensely dislike PvP, but for very different reasons than the OP (all of their reasons I find completely legit, however.) I dislike PvP so much on general principle. I am PAYING a gaming company and its developers to ENTERTAIN me. Not for them to turn around and try to make me, and my fellow paying customers, the ENTERTAINMENT. With PvP, all they do is provide an area for people to go at it endlessly in. Its ultra cheap for them to create and maintain, and it takes almost no creativity or effort on their part to come up with the "concept" (if you can even call it that.) I.E. We are paying them LOTS, for them to entertain us almost not at all. THAT is what PvP means to me. THAT is why developers love to try and force PvP on all the people that pay them. For the record, I have no problem at all with people who love PvP, in spite of my personal passionate hatred for it. Do what you love, love what you do. That's the moto I try to go through life with, both to myself and others. To the people that are passionate about PvP, I say "More power to you." My issue simply comes when an entertainment company that CLAIMS to have both PvP and PvE content in a game starts trying to FORCE the PvP parts of that game on people who don't want to PvP. That being said, I understand what lots of people are saying in the forums, and elsewhere. "If you want it, suck it up and do it." True. There are lots of things in life that are that way. You just have to grin, bear it, and get through it. But the point is, should I HAVE to? Should I HAVE to do something that I don't WANT to do to get something in a form of entertainment that I PAID for? For me personally, the answer is a firm "hell no." And, the more that someone tries to FORCE me to do what I don't want to do, in something that I PAID for, the less likely I am to keep paying them. This last bit is the part that Bungle and its developers REALLY don't seem to understand. It also the part that the "just suck it up and do it" people don't seem to understand. The less people that are paying for a product the less of that product that EVERYONE gets, including the people saying "suck it up." That is why content should be designed from the ground up to be as inclusive as possible to as many play styles as possible; not this forced PvP BS that Bungle seems to be obsessed with. Just my 2 cents that isn't going to amount to a hill of beans in the long run. Hope someone benefits from the discussion. Peace out all. P.S. For the record, I also think that the exact opposite to my point is true. If all someone wants to do is PvP, there should be a way for them to get everything they want by just doing that activity. Trying to FORCE you to do things in their product that you don't want to do (in either direction) is simply a cheap tactic on the part of the developers trying to get you to stay longer and pay them more money for less content development. By in large, that tactic also never works in the long run.

So, I finished the Gambit invasion step in 2 games (3 matches total). Here's the thing though: - I had 2 fireteam mates willing to either ignore or just melt the invader to help me. - I have used hand cannons in Destiny since launch of D1. - A lot of people are playing Gambit simply to finish this step (although my games have been really close). I'm still solidly on the side of Bungie offering a PvE (grind your thumbs off) alternative for this and other PvP steps. After experiencing how quickly I was able to get this step done (I'm a 1.12 k/d player) I can honestly say I'd be happy for there to be a horrendous PvE grind step as an alternative... It would not devalue my achievement in any way. But that's me...

9 답변Some exotics force you to play a lot of PvE. Get over it. Even for a below average player, the quest isnt that hard. You are going to seriously stand there and tell me that after playing alot of PvE (where you point and shoot), you cant kill a few people in PvP??! HA! Give me a break... I know its a childish thing to say, but it is very relevant here. "Get good".

10 답변작성자: PrimitiveAK 9/7/2018 3:30:51 AMI swear you people will find anything to complain about. It's 25 headshots in PvP. If you can't get 25 headshots then you shouldn't be playing Destiny. I literally finished that in 3 games. You want the gun? Do the quest and get headshots. Don't want it? Then don't do it. It's like you people want everything handed to you easily and then complain a month later on how there's nothing to do or everything is too easy. Make up your minds. If you think this is hard then I doubt half of you have done the Thorn quest in D1.

2 답변Sorry its easy. I did Ace of Spades and Chaperone at the same time. Original Thorn quest void kills in D1 was a real quest. Suck it up and do it man. Not being mean. Real talk.

9 답변The irony was you literally hold the gun at the end of the story but can't use it till you do what can be considered a skilled challenge for pvp. I'll prob get it done at some point but soon? Prob not, I was angry enough when I thought I had to invade and then kill people. But having to kill invaders is just as hard if not more hard to do. I get Cayde was THE hunter but HE was VANGUARD and not CRUCIBLE so yeah while I don't like complaining about little things, this literally makes no sense. Then again this weapon is over powered so that's how they balance the hand out. Like I saw someone said though what's the point of pre ordering for the skin for a weapon you might not be able to even get lol!

9 답변Very rarely would I double post on a topic, but this whole play the whole game thing or not get everything is a total asshole argument . We did play the damn game. We did the campaign. We killed all the bastards involved, we sent the smug prick to hell, and we avenged Cayde. We FINISHED the god damn story and WALKED away with the gun in our f*cking hand. It should have stopped right there, VICTORY, campaign reward, done. But noooo, we get a frigging lecture from the ever growing pussy Zavala and now we gotta dance like monkeys for the god damn reward because those petty pricks at bungie. F*ck this game.

I think developer should take a long hard look at the history of player base erosion in The Division due to their constant insistence on forcing players into their Dark Zone, an even worse form of PVP. They lost a huge chunk of their player base and never did bring them back in any meaningful way.

10 답변Yeah, but there are also people that don't like PvE. And the sheer amount of PvE exotics in this game.... rat king, legend of acrius, sleeper simulant, worldline zero, whisper of the worm. Maybe I'm forgetting some? The solotion could be that exotic quests are removed and that all exotics come from Xur or random drops. Another solution is to have a PvE path and aPvP path to get the weapon.

1 답변The gambit part for the ace of spades quest wasn't that bad. I'm not that great at pvp either. I'm ok at times. My competitive kd was 0.75 so I'm not that good. But getting the 5 invader kills wasnt so bad. If there was anything annoying about it it was the randoms getting in the way and getting the finishing blow. My tip would be not to camp in the buildings waiting for the invader. Once you know when invaders usually come through it's easier. I made sure all ads were killed. I made sure I was between the spawn and the depository area or the place where the blockers and primevals spawn. I chose that spot to get a good view of the area. I tried camping in the buildings but when the invaders came they ran towards the spot that I now stay at. And randoms killed them before I could. So I just waited to see what side they came in and got in close to use crimson.

Quests like these, are like life. To get the good things, you have to work for them. You may not like what you have to do, you may not be good at it, but if you really want it, suck it up and do it. Nobody is forcing you to go into crucible and get this exotic. Don't wanna suck? Practice crucible playstyles. Nothing good comes easy. Destiny of all things knows that. *cough* old D1 exotic quests, Nechrochasm, Outbreak Prime *cough*

15 답변I agree with you. I've always thought there should be an alternative quest step for everything - properly balanced of course. Meaning - for this particular quest step - maybe 300 hand cannon headshots in the open world or something as a substitute. Or maybe 500. Whatever it is, the choice should be difficult to make (ie balanced), but us PvE folks would almost always choose the endless slog of something we can do over the popularly perceived 'easier' option of something we know will be rough for us to do... The PvE alternatives should be pretty brutal though, to be fair...

19 답변Especially as a customer who bought the digital deluxe version, it's utter rubbish that this weapon's locked behind pvp. Starters, after 10 full gambit matches and 26 rounds guess how many kills I have for that quest?! 0!! Doesn't matter if you're the one who is about to defeat the invader, whoever kill steals it gets credit. Change the quest, you already have the freaking chaperone as a crucible quest. If you haven't gotten the picture... not everyone enjoys pvp. It's not fun for me and I don't think it ever will be with having to deal with stenosis and nerve pain. I love the hell out of PvE content, helped dozens of guardians with my clanmates to get whisper, get through raids normal and prestige. So stop screwing your paying customers for exclusive content they bought by putting it behind pvp.

3 답변You need to go find some materials cayde had stashed away so banshee can fix the gun. Next quest steps: Get hand cannon player kills in gambit Get hand cannon precision kills in crucible Did cayde hide the materials inside of players?
