Since the recent news has came out we know that Trials of the Nine will not be in the game for Season 4 as they are reworking it as well as Faction Rallies. I do think Bungie attempted do do something different with Trials but it completely failed. How it was in D1 was the prime of Trials. It’s basically the Trials that veterans have come to know and love. Trials of the nine however has different game modes in it? Doesn’t make any sense in my opinion. The old fashioned “fight to the death” and if it goes into overtime a flag spawns is what I liked. The competitive 3v3 Trials of Osiris. When they rework trials that is what I would like to see, no survival, no countdown, but simple Trials of Osiris mechanics. We should be able to fly to the lighthouse with brother Vance pick up a card and buy boons again. That would be fun. I would love to see them bring that back.
