People are vastly overstating the so called “monetization” of the items in Eververse. For instance, shaders. I came across a few people talking nonsense about shaders, and after replying to two people I figured I might as well just save some time and post a whole topic about it. Limiting the amount of event boxes you could earn without paying was a shitty thing to do, but that doesn’t apply to the everyday ones. Anyone who just sits down and plays the game for more than 5 minutes before coming to the forums to bitch will earn plenty of bright engrams (or prototype engrams or whatever the -blam!- they’re called now) to get all of the shaders they want. I haven’t spent a dime on Eververse and I have plenty of each of those shaders, to the point where I started dismantling the ones I don’t like by the dozen.
