I want to start off by saying that I am happy with the changes coming... but what can I say it’s hard to disagree with what you’re saying here. At risk of sounding in entitled or demanding, it simply seems ridiculous how long it takes Bungie to put out a patch... especially when other game companies are making sandbox changes much quicker. There are also major, risky changes to the game, such as more access to heavy and having no radar in all competitive modes... I don’t think that these changes are necessarily bad, but if in fact they are, it is almost sure fire that we will be stuck with the changes for months. Let’s say there is a problem with the gameplay, they are going to spend the next 6 to 7 months playing catch-up to fix that problem, instead of coming up with creative new content.... It’s also not going to do anything about the backlash, the only thing that is going to stop the backlash is for them to do exactly what the community wants, regardless of how it impacts the game. This is not out of the cards, but I change the weapon slots will literally be an extreme endeavor and if they decide to go down this route you can bet your bottom dollar that we will never see any new creative content. And is totally depends on what Bungie is chasing, do they wanna make the game better, or do they want to improve their public image? We’ll see.

  • I agree with you that Sandbox changes are very good for the game in general in the long run. But to me as a player, it is just lines of text in patch notes. I don't honestly care. All these things should have been in the game to begin with. Maybe that makes me sounds entitled. Maybe but I am a gamer. When I see an update, I want to see new guns, new game modes, new activities. That would be an update. New things to do. Not doing the same things we were doing before but with more speed and power. The game is easy already. If they had really listened to us they would know that many people want new content. They are doing exact same DLC schedule as Destiny 1. In D1 we had Dark Below, and then House of Wolves. Now we have Osiris and "Whatever next expansion" I am actually fine for the most part with the gameplay of D2, if gameplay stayed the same and they came out with exciting things to do. Like for example in D1 we were hunting for chest keys or Icebreaker or Gjally or Thorn, or whatever other exotic that was so cool. But now we are kind of just And what changed for D2. We have the same boring DLC schedule. And people just want new shiny things to play with. Sure all these guns were cool and all these armors were great. But I am already tired of them. Now I want something new, new destinations, new strikes, new pvp maps. But I don't want to have to wait so many month for them. And thats the issue with Destiny at its core, they don't come out with changes fast enough. I don't mind paying for content.
