They can't, but it doesn't matter . All that matters is that bungie cares more for is PvP and it's a dying mode .

Pve had strikes, patrols, public events, the raid, nightfall and the list goes on. So its completly false to say the focus was pvp when they didn't get half the content pve got

Actually it's a matter of fact man. For the last two months the PvP numbers have been on a steady decline and PvE almost always has a 2 to 1 advantage. While I agree it should be part of the game, they made it too much of their focus and fundamentally altered the game for it.

Quantity of activities doesn’t really make a good argument here when you consider the quality of our PvE experience. It is true that they sacrificed aspects of PvE to balance PvP. I’m pretty sure Bungie has also tried to explain this and have sorta admitted it didn’t go as planned. This is why we are not getting new content right now, because they are trying to back track to rerebalance PvP and PvE.

Quality was really never the topic, though i understand what you are saying. For a pvp player, trials is the endgame, and most of the population cannot fathom making it to 7 wins. The raid, which i enjoy, can be accomplished by almost anyone with enough patience. Pve is easily more accessible than the pvp... And pve content although may lack a bit in quality, still outnumbers the pvp options

I think also a problem I have from a non PvP standpoint is that I want to feel powerful in PvE but with all the cries for nerfing things makes this a challenge. I love my Nightstalker with Orpheus Rigs, probably the most hated design in the game currently. It is however really effective for PvE, this is my true issue with the “balance” in D2.

I hope that we can get a more balanced experience for both aspects of game play. That being said, from a non PvP standpoint, I hope they fix the PvP issues soon. Trials and Iron Banner need to be a challenge, not the casual focus it has currently. I’m a firm believer we don’t all “deserve” to be the best. Either you can legitimately hold your own or you can’t, this is why I don’t do Trials. Could I find a team to carry me? Yes in fact I’m sure my Clan could but the rewards would seem shallow to me. That was my feelings in D1 as well.
