Being one of the last few reasonable ones on the forum is really saddening. My recent posts have really opened my eyes. (Forums, a lost cause?)
It's just so surreal.
All we do now instead of talk about ways to improve Destiny 2, is talk about how much we want to see it die.
And if you [i]don't[/i] want to see it die, or if you like Destiny in any shape, form, or fashion, then you will be chastised and ridiculed by hundreds. As evident by my recent threads.
We're so blinded by hate and toxicity that we can no longer see the good in Bungie's weekly updates.
They're fixing the game exactly how we screamed at them, and it is still met with senseless negativity on a gigantic bandwagon.
All of you.. We're better than this. As a community, we shouldn't be damning every single weekly update or community managers to hell because to be honest, if I were a developer and I had a community like the current one, I wouldn't like to speak to them either.
Be more mature. Show them we aren't animals and we can have reasonable discussion.

Ever from Destiny 1 day 1, people have voiced their concerns about Bungie just doing whatever they felt like doing and that there was a HUGE disconnect with the community. At the end of D1 the game was in a good spot. Lots of things to do, still random rolls, but no more uber God rolls and horrible crap rolls. Strike scoring, Fun PvP modes. All raids were viable and gave good loot. The only thing that was not great i.m.o. was losing special ammo when you died in PvP. Bungie threw EVERYTHING away when they made D2. NEVER was it asked to the community what they thought about these changes before they were implemented. And now that this game is an absolute mess and they are slightly implementing small changes we should be thankful? HELL NO! The state D2 is in right now is 100% what Bungie/Activision wanted it to be. Because if they wanted something else, they would've asked the community BEFORE they made D2 this way. By the time D2 is slightly fixed my one year subscription will be expired and Bungie will ask me for more money. Get the F#CK outta here! They expect us to play an unfished game for a year and then say: You're time is up! Give us more money! Jesus %$#&*%^ Christ. If Bungie wants this game to survive they should bring back A LOT from D1 and do it without charge. But to be honest I don't think they will do that.

I put it on myself to be a pretty nice person in my online interactions, it's all I can do, if other people want to act like goofballs that's on them. Does this forum have trolls? Yes, so does every place on the internet, I can't find it in myself to care anymore. Would I like it if we could all get along? Totes! I would love for this community to be full of nice folk who say nice things and can have a discussion with each other without resulting to name calling and everyone shared opinions on how to fix the game, but we don't live in Milks Happy Funtime Cupcake Mountain Palace, we live in the real world, and people are jerks sometimes, especially on the internet where you can say anything to anyone without fear of repercussion. If a 30 year old father of two finds joy in being mean to strangers on an internet forum and calling people fanboy, cool. If a 17 year old gets his laughs of of trolling and starting polls to get people fired cool. If a stay at home mom wants to post "Destiny 2 sucks!" on every single post just to fish for responses, that's fine. That ain't me though. I can only be me, so if people want to act out, to those people I say do you boo boo, but I don't have time to be negative in the play pretend world of the internet, nor do I have time to try and flex on strangers and make them feel bad for liking a thing. I like Destiny as a franchise, I want to see it succeed, and I don't think saying "destiny 2 sucks" is a good way of criticizing a product. If you feel like Bungie deserves to burn to the ground, fine, I don't and I hope Bungie can pull it together. I didn't give up on Nick Cage, I'm not giving up on Bungie.

You're also super condescending and pretentious when you say that "you're one of the only reasonable people in the forums." The people that are on the forums complaining about this game are just tired of waiting for change and have every reason to be furious with Bungie. If everyone in the forums was like you then Luke Smith would have retained his job for steering the future of this game, Margaret Stohl would have kept the tweet about grimoire being folklore and not even attempt to woefully compensate for it afterwards, the game content would still remain behind DLC paywall, Eververse would be selling guns that are overpowered like the Prometheus Lens was to make it pay to win, and more. Don't think that you're clever or special for being quiet and trying to stand out from this community because believe it or not, there are morons like you in the community. You tell everyone to shut their mouths, but what everybody should be telling idiots like you is to grow a pair. And I've asked this of you once and I will ask again, do you think everyone in this community is stupid in comparison to you? Or just lack self-awareness all around, which one is it? Btw no, people thought it was a good TWAB, but if you're so smart and reasonable, figure it out. Before you bought it amd if something was messy or you didnt like it tough shits. But it blows my mind that they do the updates they try to please people instead of just saying well you bought it we made or money oh well. Hell i was warned i would get trolls up the wazu for having a girl name and i should just make a boy one up. Well 3 day playing was invited to three clans which blew my mind cause im just so flipping new and out of touch. Then almost every player ive come across its been great thought people woild get angry if i joined some events but nope. Never had anything said to me when i cover people. Only one time did i get some creepy guy message me but easy to block him and move on. This to me is an amazing game i love the details from the reflectioms in the water to the clouds moving. It drew me in and i havent looked back. I read the negtive and i just think it might not be a game for them any more . so why they still play then say something no idea. Want to add something else the fact there is a place were people playing can go and talk and get info or just look around blows my mind. Maybe again its cause ive been out of the gaming world for so long but still i think its pretty freakin neat

We got shit on. All of D1 was suggestions and what happened? Ignored and sent to the chopping block for D2. This community anger has a long time coming and its wrong to say a community that's been let down time and time again shouldn't feel at least some disdain. If by reasonable you mean myopic, then sure. What you see on the forums is called nihilism because every ounce of constructive criticism offered over the past three years has been met by Luke Smith et al. with condescending platitudes or ignored altogether. The end result is that many of us have abandoned all hope for the franchise and become voidwalkers irl. Bungie does not broker in hope; they merely offer scraps to mitigate losses. They actually have the gall to think that they know more than consumers do about what we think is fun and rewarding. That is why they feel justified ignoring three years worth of constructive feedback and pleas for positive change, while trying to gaslight us into thinking that they give two shits about anything other than their quarterly reports to Activision. When one discovers that he is in the matrix, he swallows the red pill, and there is no turning back. Ignorance is bliss, so enjoy it while it lasts, but you might try not to judge those who see more than you do because someday when it all makes sense to you, you will feel like an idiot.

Unless it makes gaming articles, and streamers rage. Bungie doesn't acknowledge any reasonable discussion. Destiny 2 is the most regrettable gaming purchase I've made since Original nintendo deadly towers. One could only hope Activision cuts bungie, and hires Naughty dog.

Hate and toxicity in the comunity is the result of the laziness and ambitious of actibungo so you cant ask for a change in the comunity without a change in actibungo. A lot of the people whining now spent three years telling Bungie they wanted balance. IE: They spent three years complaining about Exotics that stood out and became go to weapons.....and now complain that there are no weapons that feel "exotic". The "legends" have become a bunch of jaded weirdos.
