Down to 670,000 for pve across both games and all platforms.
Pre xmas it was 1.4 million.
That's more than a 50% drop in a matter of weeks.

62 답변It's back up to almost 900k pve and 330k crucible. Look I am frustrated about this Faction rally nonsense and I expressed that frustration, but the player base has been literally around 1 million for the last month. The game is not dying. This is another reason why I rarely ever side with the "community" on most issues. You are painting a false narrative. The game is not in a healthy place, but it is by no means dead, no matter how much you may wish it to be. Bungie has pissed me off, but I am not quitting on the game. Even if they shut the servers down tomorrow I got my money's worth. Destiny 2 was never a bad game. The majority of people where happy with the launch product and it wasn't until they saw some endgame issues that the tone changed. Add to that the EA Battlefront fiasco which ignited gaming communities at large and then Eververse became an issue. Let me be clear, Eververse needs to be adjusted. Too many items are locked behind it. But Destiny 2 is fundamentally not a bad game.

Watching, watching, like a vulture. Vultures really have no culture. Waiting for D2 to die, It's enough to make me sigh. Why the anger at a game? Seems to me a little lame. As the player numbers drop, You shout out "the game's a flop!" Here's a little free advice, Can you not say something nice? Anger's fine in moderation, But we're approaching saturation.

2 답변You wanna see a dead game? http://steamcharts.com/app/224600 Also on 360 and ps3 with probably fewer players, yet the game is alive somehow. I know that activision would kill the game long before the population ever gets that low, but this is to show you that D2 is far from dead.

They made a terrible mistake with the guns. D1 gunplay was brilliant. D2 ... No point using shotguns, sniper rifles. Just switch from one auto rifle to the next! So dull. No raid specific perks. No fatebringer, gally, Voc. Just reskins.

2 답변"Noooo it's a lie, player figures are actually doing great the api and tracking agencies are just reporting them wrong!" No. The game really is dying. When you're under 300k players in pvp and 800k players in pve across FIVE PLATFORMS and TWO GAMES that number is made up about 50 percent of no lifers who do nothing but play the damned game and the rest are people who log in for a few minutes, find nothing to do, and go somewhere else. It is literally impossible for the numbers to drop much further than they currently are, and you simply cannot sell future content or games when people are this badly burned. The game really is dying. It's not "a misrepresentation". It's a complete failure of Bungle. They made one too many bad decisions and now their game is going up in smoke.
