I started playing in full in December so this is my first faction rally. I jumped into the EDZ near Devrim where I usually start and did a lost sector and got some tokens. There was another sector right next to the church so I did that one too, trying to fulfill the milestone for the day to destroy caches in Lost Sectors. When I came out there was another lost sector right on the other side of the church so I ran in there. When I completed it I got nothing, no glimmer (might have been capped), no faction token, no EDZ token, nothing. I figured it was a bug so I traveled to some other lost sectors, still no rewards. Got online this morning to discover it's a throttle to fix some exploit from the last rally.
I don't mind a throttle, I am glad that you fix exploits. What I don't understand is how you poorly implenented a hidden timer, with no communication to the player, that throttles me just for doing what the game instructed me to do? It's particularly galling after recent pledges to be more honest and forthcoming. I'm new to Destiny alltogether and was starting to enjoy it but I'm rethinking if I want to be invested in a game where the developers continue to operate in such strange, lazy, devious ways...

2 답변With the influx of all the throttled loot threads after the rally started, I seriously have to wonder how few of the active players do Lost Sectors? I'm a pretty active player and one of my funner things to do is LS's. The first thing I thought of Tuesday, when I saw the daily requirement being to destroy the supplies in LS's? "Oh CRAP! THIS is gonna' piss off some players today"! I honestly didn't know the throttling was not known about by so many players. I can understand players like the OP, who are still relatively new, but the amount of people who seem to have been unaware of it seems pretty large. Honestly, it's not difficult to work around the issue by doing other activities when you get throttled. I'M NOT SAYING I AGREE WITH HOW IT WAS HANDLED! The way they handled it was pretty ridiculous. I could understand the immediate implementation of a throttle for the rest of the event. They DEFINITELY should've come up with a better solution before this rally. Lock you out of a sector for 10 minutes when you complete it, or simply put a throttle on that particular sector for a 10 minute period. Seems simple enough. I'm not a programmer, so I don't know if that would be an easy thing to implement or not.

I’m not going to try to influence your decision in any way, I’m still playing, but if you are going to stick at it I’d advise you to expect this type of shit in future.

16 답변It’s to prevent mass token collection. The last faction rally. You could farm 400 tokens an hour. Then people bitched about a level cap of 30.

13 답변I disagree about the timer being implemented poorly. I know people say they want/like 100% honesty, but they dont. They tend to only like it when it's something they want to hear, which this wouldnt have been. If they wouldve told us about this before this week, people wouldve bitched/complained while ignoring that lost sectors is not the fastest way to get faction tokens, kinda like they doing now. So it was a damned if you do, damned if you dont situation. What us the community/players should learn from this is to stop doing dumb shit. I say that cause if it wasnt for us bragging about the token glitch, while at the same time bitching at bungie about there being nothing to grind for/do in the game, i highly doubt this wouldve gotten put in the game.

get used to that in this game they do it alot it is just another bungo fire - ready - fire my guess is that lost sectors has no way timer for each lost sector just a generic one. So they cant tell if you did that one or some other lost sector, its all or nothing then there is also no way to track if you did that lost sector or not as it is new to the game. then add the brain dead move of a mercury with ONLY 1 lost sector to magnify the issue what they should have done is explain how to get faction tokens on mercury with the new patch. It really is not hard - just run around and kill stuff

Whereas I don't like the throttle in the least, I have to admit it's for selfish reasons. Last Rally, I hopped on and finished my hunter in an hour and 40 minutes. All the way to 30. I did roughly the same with my titan, and progressed normally with my warlock. Why? As a clan admin, I wanted to keep the time open for helping our members, while still getting my own stuff done. Nonetheless, the mechanism that allowed me to do so was an exploit, and removed a lot of the impact of the faction Rally for me. Now though, if i drop into Trostland to do a public event, and I want to run all 3 sectors for an added 9 tokens, I can't do so. I can only run 2 of them, and then I have to go find something else to do for 10 minutes. If the events are coming hot and heavy, or I can run a strike, well and good. If not, then it's kind of a holding pattern until the timer wears off. All in all, it's good that the exploit is fixed, but it eliminates lost sectors as a realistic option for the rally.

Bungie made Destiny 2 all RNG, no vendors, and the RNG is BROKEN!!! The drops are crap, especially eververse!!! My point is, the cool down is a stupid idea because The RNG system is SO broken and people have to grind their ass off for a slim chance to get what they want. SO what if you could rack up that many tokens in an hour. What pisses me off the most is the game has SO MANY problems but Bungie is only quick to fix the ones that might give the players an advantage, everything thing else is we'll get around to fixing it when hell freezes over!!! I call this Bungie logic.

Welcome to this mess that was supposed to be a milestone in a great game. All right, this crap isn't worth our time anymore. Can I interest you in games that actually feel finished and don't have you buying both a Season Pass and micro transactions? Go give Grand Theft Auto 5 or Overwatch a try.

2 답변I feel like any time they add a cool down type thing like this they just need to have a message show up on screen that counts down your cool down. It’s absurd people here are complaining about it after they showed off the exploit all over this site, then go on to complain about a lack of things to grind for

4 답변They should have communicated the changes for it up front. It’s probably a (imo) a temp fix that will be changed in the fall major expansion update (as I’d call it). The temp fix (imo) works better than making the coding changes in all the complete season expansion leading to the major fall 2018 expansion release (as I figure it). Of course, I’m assuming they’re still working on the Fall major release on coding/sandbox/features and what not, where major coding fixes would benefit the most from being implemented. Caveat being that I have no knowledge on their coding system and I love looking at things from both sides and as a Devil’s advocate better coming to a decision or formulating arguements 😂

5 답변I did the same pattern that you did, at what sounds to be the same speed, and received tokens from all but one of the lost sector caches. I don't think this throttle is really as severe as people are perceiving. I mean, would you really read the pages and pages of patch notes if they gave us every little change and detail?

3 답변Agreed. Perhaps a cooldown timer for such things could be displayed next to our character on the start screen...?
