So the Cabal destroyed all Destiny 1 loot.
How the hell did Bungie get it all back and put it in Destiny 2?

So apparently the Guardians all forgot to renew their warranties between D1 and D2? So we can't get our gear back, because the manufacturers won't offer a resupply to the only group of people able to beat back humanity's enemies!? Guardians: "Oh, NO!!! The Cabal destroyed all of my weapons! Suros, I need a new Regime! Quick!" Suros: "Gee, I'm sorry Guardian, but it looks like our system says that you failed to renew your warranty, so we can't replace the Regime that the Cabal destroyed. We understand you need it to keep all of us from dying or enslavement, we hear you; but if you'd like to talk to someone in Customer Service, I can transfer you to their voicemail. And if you'd be kind enough to take a small customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call, it would really help us do better. We promise." People, this is one of the dumbest excuses trying to use lore to cover Bungie laziness....

2 답변Well.. that's silly. They destroyed our vault. They did not destroy the ability to make weapons. The manufacturers still exist, Omolon, Suros...etc. So it stands to reason they can just remake previous weapons.

Not only did the Cabal manage to somehow destroy all of our gear (which seems pretty magical/impossible to do considering our gear could apparently be summoned out of thin air via "transmat" which would imply you can't ACTUALLY permanently destroy any of our gear - example given is your sparrow, you can blow it up a million times and still summon it again and again) but they apparently shot mind rays into literally EVERYONE in the universe to erase the memory of machine guns from history. There's no lore explaining why machine guns are gone. None of our characters seem to notice "Oh gee, I wonder where such a basic weapon concept like machine guns have gone?". Nothing. Just - poof - gone. Machine guns never existed. Good job Cabal. More magical than Oryx apparently fap fap.

You have thousands of guardians wandering the solar system and no one, I mean no one see the Cabals army heading towards the cosmodrome? It’s not like they snuck in, they were carry a giant ass octopus looking thing that sucked the face of the traveler. No one saw that coming? They deserve to be extinct.

Bungle cut a deal with the Cabal to not actually destroy it and return it to them for resale. This would save money for Bungle by not developing new worthwhile weapons and help the Cabal by not facing new weapons of any value. Win-Win for both sides. And Bungle agreed to add another Cabal DLC in the future. Now where are those Siva Fallen?
