Look I saw no hope in D2 at first and I thought it was just gonna be another post for us to be disappointed by, but gosh dang they listened yet people still are complaining.
I thought people didn’t like D2 because it was bad and they wanted things to improve, obviously they are defiantly improving in this blogpost.
And it’s obvious that people are just hating for the hell of it now even though their wishes including mine are coming to life.
[b][u]If you’re leaving D2 because of this specific blogpost. Take your hate and arrogance with it. You guys obviously can never be satisfied[/u][/b]
I’m not gonna lie I was disappointed and complaining at first also, but this is a big step forward. Good shit Bungie, don’t ruin this positivity. I’m honestly impressed for the first time in a long time.
[b]Edit- They did what we asked. Improved the game and brought things back from D1. Then people complain that it should’ve been in the game in the first place when everyone knows that.
That’s exactly why we complained for improvement in the first place and look they listened to us and now that it’s coming into the game people continue to be hateful. Just leave if you’re done.[/b]

Yeah, there are some good changes proposed here, but don't expect some of us to be really excited to get back things that we already had in Destiny 1.........that should never have been removed in the first place. Think about it, after how many months of release, D2 is about to make back to Year 3 Destiny 1. If that is the case, then why does this game even exist?? They should have just released another DLC for Destiny 1 and called it a day.

The issue comes down to trust. Bungie broke the trust they had with their community. None of these "changes" would be coming if they didnt get caught lying to us. People can debate D1 vs D2 all day and get nowhere. The vitriol on the forums is a result of actions Bungie took and never expected us to discover. For the sheeps waiting for the game to get better? Why? Let D2 die and then come back for the inevitable D3. Bungie killed this game before it even came out, move on. Lastly, Ive been pondering this question a lot. Did Bungie mess this up or is this Activisions fault? By that I mean when Bungie signed their "deal with the devil" was this result always going to happen? Or did Bungie lose a ton of talent since their Halo days and arent really Bungie anymore?

They have lied to the players before, many times, and they will lie again. Don't take a blog post for fact until you start seeing it become a reality. Most of it is a ploy to delay the flow of players away from Destiny and onto other games as once people are hooked on a different game that satisfies them, they are not coming back to Destiny. Remember the 10 year plan for Destiny? Well we are not even half way through that yet and it is not looking good for funding major expansions and new versions if half the people playing the game now have just picked up cheap second hand copies of the game for a few hours entertainment and would probably never consider buying DLC or the next version unless it is 90% off on the second hand market.

The major issue is the fact that there is little to no new content from Destiny 1 to Destiny 2. This will not change because they have to fight for a year just to get Destiny to function as Destiny 1. The major issue is we paid a new game that was less of a game full of recycled content. It should have just been a big expansion to the original game and everyone would have been happy.

1 답변Don't be mistaken. Most, if not all of the "people" whining here are kids, and teenagers... The adults know these changes are going to be extremely difficult to implement and will take time. The people who say "this was supposed to be in D1" and think that's somehow validating an argument are lost. These people [u] can't[/u] be pleased. They call you a sheep for wanting D1 schematics when that's the whole point of buying D2. We wanted a Destiny game! We wanted it like D1, but with new skills, weapons, strikes, planets, etc. If we wanted a different game we would have bought another game! These arguments are moot, but they blurt it out because, they actually believe that it's an intelligent argumentative statement....

I agree, but i’ll still keep pushing bungie to try harder. The people complaining loved destiny 1’s formula, and thats why they hate d2. I hated d2 too. But now it’s just gone into this level of disappointment that you get used to.And hat whole eververse thing got kinda fixed. All they needed to do was give the vendors back their shaders, sparrows, ghosts, etc. back.

It's hilarious. You see people complain that the features should have been there from the start in response to Bungie putting these things back in after they complained about them not being in the game, and then they start complaining about the time frame. Yes, they should have been there from the start, I've been saying this since Destiny 2 launched, but why complain now they are putting them back in after complaining they weren't there?

5 답변Did you play d1? If you did then this would disappoint you greatly. Nothing that we didnt already have besides (pointless) armor masterworks. Another thing I still dont understand is that this game looks to run on the same (improved) engine right? Then WHY THE HELL is it gonna take 6-9 months to implement stuff WE ALREADY HAD?! Just port the source code and assets over right??

Thank God I wasn't the only person pissed at whiny babies saying "It should've been in the game" or "This still isn't enough" WE EFFING KNOW!!! Yes, Bungie screwed up big time since launch. But if you know all what happened before launch, know that game developing is difficult and tedious, know that the devs don't have as intense passion as us and game changes aren't done in 4 seconds, then you'd be grateful for this. Game changes aren't easy, look at Three of Coins and the Prometheus Crisis. Did they look like material that a game company had time to test out? Give Bungie time. Trust me, everyone here knows this game could be soooo much better. But for right now, these are the right steps in the right direction. 8 답변You are obviously new to Destiny franchise. Just play D1 and you know why people are still upset. The update is only about bringing stuff back that were already in D1 and Bungie try to sell it as something new and groundbreaking. Its just a step in the right direction. But it is much too late. At the end of 2018 we just have the D2 most of us (especially veterans) were expecting without any improvements and still lacking stuff veterans wanted till the first day of D1.

2 답변To be honest with you I don't see why other people not praising Bungie bothers you so much... As far as I know of the TWAB was a roadmap/ plan going forward, nothing has actually been fixed yet. So I see no reason to praise Bungie, especially considering their way of handling the community to this point has a lot to do with how pissed off the community is overall. They claim they're going to scale back Eververse but how many times has Bungie made false claims in the past. Even if they actually do scale back Eververse its only a matter of time before they go back to trying to push it on us again. IMO people are just sick and tired of the Bungie yoyo when it comes to fixing crap in the game and still venting their frustrations. Many of us have gone through the Bungie rollercoaster in the past with Destiny and are just flat out sick of it. I don't care about what Bungie has to say I care about what they actually do with the game going forward, there is nothing hateful about adopting this mindset.

3 답변Yup. After the shit I've seen from gaming communities everywhere, there's no way in hell I'd ever go into that industry in a leadership role. No chance. Absolutely no acknowledgement of what they DID identify as solutions, rather complaining that these changes (which were DEMANDED) are crap because they should have been in the game at launch. It's a fascinating psychology lesson, to be sure. But only from the outside looking in. I'd absolutely NEVER subject myself to such two-sided inconsiderate negativity. Certainly never tie it to my livelihood as a thinking adult... It is fascinating, though...

well lets face it this was not a AAA $80 (60 for game and 20 for 1st dlc) game at release and hence the player drop off and player angst. if d2 dropped with the content up until masterworks armor and eververse changes and the private matches and 6v6 and 2v2. it would be a 60$ game. We paid 80$, well i did at least some paid more. dont forget that is $400 million to bungo that is ALOT OF CHEESE - If you look at it from the point of view what did we get for 400 million would you still not question things? For them to be so determined that D1 was gone only to now bring it back because THEIR ideas are so poor? D1 was built on the community ever so slowly dragging bungo to make a better game. That we assumed that the fundamentals of d1 were there. I would say by june we will have what D2 should have been after all these updates
