I don't know why they promoted him in the first place. Wouldn't be the first time they did something to please him. (When they decided his diet of Rockstar and Pop-Tarts was for everyone.)
Let's fire Luke Smith, and get our Destiny back!

Edit: I already got a downvote within one minute of posting this. I didn't know Luke Smith went to the forums.
Edit #2: I love how everybody who calls me an "attention whore" has taken the time to reply to this. Thank you for your opinion, which I care very much about.
Edit #3: I've gotten 100+ notifications of people liking this post, but it's still at 0. Love you guys too.
Edit #4: Regrettably, I'm receiving too many insulting replies to give them all the attention they deserve. I apologize for this inconvenience, and I will make an honest attempt to reply to most of them. Cheers!

2 답변Luke Smith is the scum of the industry if ive ever seen it and ive been calling for his termination since the D2 release.

1 답변No way! if he gets fired then he might end up at another studio and fvkc that game up too! I'm hoping he is confined to Bungie for the rest of his professional life, and in doing so he will stay the fvkc away from the games that i actually want to play.... in the future.

1 답변So you want someone to be unemployed and moneyless just because you don't agree with changes they have made inside a video game? Usually I'd be down for a good verbal beatdown on Luke but. You must not have a job, you must not know what respect is because wanting someone to get sacked because of a video game, Is petty, and it is absolutely disrespectful. Nobody should consider putting worth to your words, because they're meaningless filler garbage with no substance.

Here's the TWAB for Thursday: "We were going to make changes in D2 that actually matter, and have been on the radar, but instead, we are going to make changes to Eververse. Sorry to everyone that had hopes that real changes were coming. Because of a few hundred people on the forums, we aren't going to be making any actual changes that matter. We know we have millions of players, but the crybabies on the forums have prevented us from making real Quality of Life changes to the game." - DeeJ Out Aside from that... They should also close down the forums, since the forums basically cried and whined us into D2. All through D1, there was nothing but whining. Now, everything that was whined about was changed, and the forums aren't happy. You asshats made your bed, now you have to lie in it.

You kids are too funny. Probably the same little shits that whine to cashiers at grocery stores because of the prices. Anyone calling for the guy to lose his job very clearly has little understanding of how businesses (especially large companies) are run. I mean, yes, Luke Smith is definitely the one coming up with all the ideas and has the final say on everything. Just like the guy who stocks the shelves is the one who decides which products the store will sell. That was sarcasm in case you really are a kid and think that is true. It's pretty common knowledge now that Activision holds the reigns of Destiny. Bungie CEOs and leadership board after that. Maybe a few higher ups here and there and then you probably trickle down to the project leads and public faces like Smith. If you know anything at all about the history of Destiny, then you'd know that the dev team had a solid game nailed down, but Bungie CEOs (likely coherced by Activison) wanted to ship something else...something that could be dissected and sold in pieces. Which is exactly what happened. If you think Luke Smith should be the fall guy for anything relating to the final product and state of Destiny 2, then you are naive.

I rip on the guy a lot, but I don't know him. This might not be what he wanted to do with the game. He might be an alright guy. I spent 12 years watching my large and very expensive projects get nickel and dimed to death by CEOs, and dealing with the aftermath. I don't think anyone deserves to lose their job. Maybe a restructuring but, if he's only doing what he's told, then why even that?
