So a serious question from one who does not play Warframe: How much of a total time requirement is needed to progress to get one of the best warframes with some of the best perks/attributes, assuming you buy nothing with real money? In other words, how long does it take you to obtain max gear and max level with absolutely no MTX purchased? One more question: What are the drop rates associated with valuable items that can actually be sold/traded for quantities of the game's purchasing currency (platinum?)?

Wow, aren't you all just a bunch of hypocrites. If you are going to go full on butthurt against micro-transactions in one game - you should have the conviction to do them in other games that have micro-transactions. Warframe is full of them. Quit straddling the fence, man up and stand for what you claim to believe in.

Bottom line ANYONE and i mean anyone who states that warframe is pay to win, are obviously either....... never played it Are sheep and just trolling Lying sacks of butt crap Let me put this simply for all the simpletons who refuse to acknowledge the truth. There is NO frame/weapon/mod/ship or whatever else in warframe, you cannot grind for. Again everything can be grinded for by playing, even platinum can be got by trading stuff. There is 0.......let me emphasise on that 0 Nadda Zilch No reason to have to spend real money on anything in warframe........ It is ENTIRELY player choice and optional if you want to buy stuff instead of grinding for it. It cant be put any simpler....... If you still dont get it then warframe is better off without you.

Unfortunately it took me 300 hrs of D2 to realise the game is just bad. I’m now 550hrs into warframe and absolutely loving it.

You do realize the particular irony with complaining about Eververse then preaching about 'moving' to a game that is built around micro-transactions, right?

I would rather play Destiny 2 then Warframe - and i hate Destiny 2. Warframe is Trash IMO.

Focus on quests first. This will unlock more features for you to use. The level and variety of your mods determines your overall power. More or less everything can be made powerful enough to be useful so pick what you like, however crit based weapons are currently more powerful if you have the crit boosting mods. The most universal damage elemental combo is corrosive/blast with corrosive being more important than blast. Save your starting plat to buy warframe and weapon slots. Twice a month there is a free orokin catalyst or reactor on a friday given out by an alert called 'gift of the lotus.' Get a sentinel and a copy of the vacuum mod as soon as you can. (BP can be purchased from the market place, carrier is a good starting choice that is also relatively inexpensive, but after you have a supply of oxium consider using helios to start filling out your codex) Lastly the Warframe Wiki is your friend. Once you find a warframe you like go read the wiki on how it's abilities work and you will understand what I mean. Good luck and I hope you end up liking the game as much as I did.

Being one with well over 100 days logged in I would like to say 3 things: It’s not a bad game but not for everyone but neither is Destiny as a franchise since I know more people who bounced off the franchise as a whole in the first 2 years than have since D2 launched in similar time frame windows so the argument is null and void in relation to game quality. The art style tends to be a turn off but not everything is for everybody and the AI is borderline brain dead and with the right Frame its borderline impossible to die in any content so the challenge isn’t there or it’s artificially inflated due to enemies not getting harder just taking far more damage. It also has a certain level of jank to it that I have issues with at times. I have the same issue with Bethesda open world RPGs but I prefer 3rd person games of that genre and those were not animated for that natively. But still you can play multiple games and still enjoy things. The Division is another game i bounced off of the first month of release. Picked it back up at 1.8. It’s pretty fun. How bout gamers just game and not stress about the unnecessary nonsense. The issues have been spoken now the response needs to be waited on. PS. Don’t play the Conclave. Trust me.
