Bungies stance that the warlock nova bomb glitch is not worth a ban is solely based on their knowledge that fixing it would impact their dawning earnings. If it was costing them money it would be fixed in hours or the Mayhem mode would be postponed like iron banner or faction rally.
Since they refuse to punish cheaters I recommend every time you see someone using it open their gamer card and report them directly to Microsoft or Sony. Microsoft says that using an exploite is cheating and prohibited. Be sure to leave a comment saying what they are doing and that Bungie refuses to do anything about it. Maybe we can get Microsoft and Sony to crack down on Bungie as well.
Edit: so I put this in a reply further down but some people don't open those so I'm adding it in here as well
Maybe i wasn't clear enough so I'll explain. Mayhem mode is the only real thing in the dawning that isn't eververse. So if they were following the pattern they have used when they encountered other glitches, they should have postponed Mayhem like Iron Banner, or Trials, or Faction Rally. But the Mayhem mode is integral to the Dawning, it's the first step in the Dawning quests so they would have had to postpone the Dawning as well. There is no chance they would do that because it would cost them their big micro transaction end of year boost.
And to the people who think Bungie gave every employee three weeks Christmas vacation, really? No there are people monitoring their "servers" and providing other critical services. But again it's about not having to postpone the Dawning

You went off the logic train when you tried to equate the nova bomb glitch with lost eververse profits. You need to get your logic train back on the rails it needs to be on. It takes time to fix glitches and exploits. The more they impact the game the faster they get fixed.

We all know that if Eververse was giving out free bright dust by mistake, it would've received emergency attention. This community in general has shown over and over that if you give them any kind of exploit or advantage over other players, they can't help themselves. Bungie needed to give this particular bug immediate attention to keep it from ruining their seasonal event. They failed to do it.

It was like it was written by an aborted fetus. That's how dumb it was. It is what it is. Just beat them. Show them they're pathetic. Boom.

1 답변Idk why you think they won’t fix it because they get money from it. They are on vacation. They have families and lives of their own to tend too as well.

1 답변Here's the deal: if the game was more entertaining and PvP more fun like it was in D1, you probably wouldn't see so many people using it. This is far different than someone using network manipulation, DDoS, Lag Switch, etc. The onus is on Bungie to fix their code, or they may have left it in there intentionally. Remember, exploits draw people. The game has had people flocking away. I don't blame the player in this case. It is really no different than farming the winding cove Lost Sector Chest in the Faction Rally or the broken (also intentional) release of Prometheus Lens. If you don't like it, send Bungie a message and stop playing their games.

8 답변It's harder to ban someone these days. Usually banned players will receive a full refund because they are being denied a service that that payed for even if it goes against the TOS. Especially if that game is hosted by another party. Xbox, Steam, PS4, etc

To be honest I only do mayhem for the milestone. Those milestones are the only reason I torture myself with PvP in the first place. I don't care enough to report them to Sony for something that only lasts me a couple of hours.

16 답변Players using the nova-spam glitch shouldn't be banned for taking advantage of a glitch Bungie neglected to iron out. Furthermore, you're acting like Bungie genuinely cares about its playerbase, which time and time again has shown is not the case. Hell, if they even had the slightest concern, they would have pushed a hotfix for the glitch out during The Dawning, but they just don't care.
