I believe the community needs to take a step back from this #RemoveEververse mentality. It’s clear that Eververse is here to stay, Bungie can’t just remove the store and the bright engram system at the flick of a switch. What I do believe though is that it can be adapted to suit both camps of players. Those with more money than time (and common sense) and those players that think of Destiny as a hobby, like myself. I saw a comment further down this post about adding the everese items to the loot tables in activities, I agree with this 100% but I also have an alternative idea!
Give all activities across the board a guaranteed bright dust drop. Obviously for adventures and lost sectors it would be a once per week per adventure/lost sector, so you couldn’t grind the same one infinitely, then when they refresh on reset you can go run them again for the dust if that’s what you so desired. I discussed this with a few clan mates and we came up with these numbers.
Strike - 30 dust
Crucible - 20 dust
Public Event - 10 dust
Raid - 200 upon completion or 50 per section cleared.
Adventures - 15 dust
Lost Sector - 10 dust
This gives players access to dust at what I think is a fair rate of time vs reward. If there’s a specific item in the store like an exotic ship costing 2,000 dust it’ll take a fair amount of time to play these activities and earn it at these rates. It gives all activities a reason to be played and opens up a whole new avenue of items to grind for. But if you don’t want to grind for what you want, then hell, spend your money on loot boxes with stupidly low drop rates, it’s your wallet taking the hit and keeps eververse as a revenue stream for bungie.
In short, keeps the spenders happy, gives the grinders something to chase, keeps a revenue stream for bungie, gives meaningless activities (adventures and lost sectors) a reason to be played every week.
I am a huge fan of this game and have been sine the D1 beta. I want nothing but the best for this game and the community.
I KNOW things will get better.

I like the RNG idea of items dropping randomly from activities, I suppose I’m just exploring a more direct purchase kind of route. They added direct purchase of armour sets from vendors after all.

Yeah that's the same thing I think they should go, Eververse needs a major role in game, this is what I came up with: This is a proposal for making Eververse into having a major relevant vendor within the game, without removing micotransactions but improving gameplay development, in which I suggest Bungie and the Developer Team to include Bright Dust, and reward earnings from Eververse in patrol scavange missions or adventures, to earn exotic items, seasonal armor sets, and themed event rewards via a milestone or craftable quest by completing certain steps (example Dawning gifts), engrams can reward with Bright Dust, and also specific missions from Eververse in exchange of rewards, I know it seems like I am asking a lot, but some of these ideas can be implemented in a small amount of time, others will take more; I sharing these thoughts as a player, community member, and also as someone who thinks that this is the best solution for this controversial topic, since I know this is a product and you are a company who needs funds and profits, and I don't want to cut part your funds because of some rants; also I want to see the game grow, please read this consider some of what I shared, and maybe we can all laugh in a future adding these in the game as a mini-story arc in where we meet Fenchurch Everis jajaja; Cheers.
