Back when I was at E3 waiting in line to play Destiny 2, the people in line next to us for Call of Duty made fun of us, saying things like "You still play that game?" or, "look guys, it's Destiny 1.5". They even got a few people to switch over to their line.
But I defended you. I told them, "just wait, this is gonna be better than Destiny 1", and that things have changed. I was wrong.
I was patient during those 3 long years, staying with this game longer than I have with any other game, and even during the content droughts I always came back because I had hope that things would get better.
Everyone I was close to, both my cousins and friends (as I would continuously make new ones), moved on from this franchise. And every time someone did, it was devastating to me, and I struggled hard to find people to run things with.
I remember this one instance where I joined a clan, but they were always busy, and so I attempted to do a hard nightfall by myself, but was failing constantly. One guy saw what I was doing, and felt sorry for me, so he got a 3rd and managed to run me through.
I continued on like that, because I loved Destiny, and as a Halo fan, I had faith in you.
My point is, this franchise has become more than just a game to people, and it has so much potential, but like someone else on here has said, you let greed get in the way.
