Recently there has been a lot of hate to eververse because of, well I don’t exactly. Eververse has been around for about 3 years of Destiny, it wasn’t an issue then, it wasn’t an issue 3 months ago, why is it now an issue to sell cosmetics for real money now. Overwatch does it, call of duty does it, fortnite does it, any EA game, and etc. All of these AAA games which are all praised, all have micro transactions for cosmetics, but when Destiny does it, we should kill Tess. I really, really don’t understand why. There’s nothing wrong with it, if there is, prove me wrong.
As Well, Storm shadow 770 pointed out that call of duty even adds an edge to gameplay experience with better weapons, and gear.
Edit: Update, I will say that this shader thing is real -blam!-ed up and needs to be addressed, Bungie is being so petty, it’s 7 silver dust per dismantle, goodness.

1 답변“COD/Overwatch/insert other game name here does it...” AND THAT’S THE POINT. Destiny wasn’t supposed to be “just another FPS”. It is now, so you’re right in that sense - Eververse is just the next logical step in the slide to full generic-FPS-dom. But it wasn’t supposed to be this way. And we are pissed.

32 답변작성자: aka.breadley 12/21/2017 3:58:14 PMStop defending a malicious practice with the "cosmetic" excuse. It's not a practice to be defended in any game. I don't care how many AAA games are doing it. It's something that needs to be kicked down and shoved in the mud and left for dead. The difference in Destiny is they hide all the best content in a "looter shooter" behind a slot machine. Unique ships used to be raid rewards. What are they now? A chance from a Bright endgram. Didn't get it in your free one? Well you can buy more. It's a shitty practice used to entice people to spend more money on a game we spent $60 for. On a game that stripped away all the content we had at the end of D1. More than half of the items in the game are in Eververse. And the Ghosts provide new boosts in the game, not just cosmetic anymore.
-
It's because ALL the content is ONLY COSMETIC and is available only in Eververse ... While in D1 you had this huge game with added cosmetics on year 3 - in D2 you have nothing else, only cosmetics. All guns are the same, all armor is the same, all exotics are the same ... This is why Eververse is the worst. Because it shifted the goal of the game. It's no longer a game, it's just like all others a platform for playing a virtual lottery. Soon no one will be playing this game and no one will buy the cosmetics since there will be no one to see them ...

8 답변There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I've never spent a penny on it, I never will. Just people looking for something to moan about. If any of the weapons ever go there, then I'll agree. Whilst it's purely cosmetic stuff, I'm fine with idiots spending their money to fund my game.

3 답변i really don't see the debate. It's just cosmetics honestly.. why don't we take the anger and put it on a debate that really matters..??? Like drug companies charging 1500.00 a pill for a life saving drug that costs 70cents to make?? Sounds like more of a cause than "Your guardian is dressed better than mine"

1 답변SHIT just got REAL. EVERVERSE and other "predatory" gambling simulators from developers like Bungie UNDER INVESTIGATIVE SCRUTINY as 5 more states seek legal crackdown. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/240790735?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 Please bump and let's get real with ending this exploitation. The whole "we've been listening to your feedback" BS days are over. Everyone can see Bungies lies for what they are in broad daylight..

It wasn't never a problem, you either missed it or ignored it because it appeared to be one person. It has always been a problem, same goes for those other games. It has gotten to the point that players are tired of being jerked around so they will spend more. Being nickle and dimed is not fun, and never will be. It doesn't matter if you personally don't buy in and don't have to, the game suffers from them practicing it regardless. They are spending resources and messing with the games design for these systems made only to make more money. No matter how cosmetic they make it, it does affect the game. It's trash.

3 답변It doesn't matter how many AAA games are doing it, it doesn't make it right. the reason cosmetics don't affect gameplay is the reason there are no perks on armor because if there were perks on armor, no one would want to grind for cosmetics. when the end game goes from mid-maxing to loot box chasing, you know somethings wrong. think about it, if armor gave you perks in raids or endgame activity, no one would wear anything else, but because there aren't, all the armor, besides Exotic armor, is useless and indifferent. with all the armor completely useless, the only reason to collect armor is that it looks cool, and what armor looks the coolest, anything from Eververse. In fact, all the Exotic weapon skins can only be acquired in Eververse. that includes one of the RAID shotgun skins. the Raid shotgun. yes, one of its skins can be acquired through the raid but, let's be honest, it looks far less interesting compared to the skin which can be bought in Eververse. Microtransactions do affect gameplay, the entire game was changed just to sell loot boxes. like I've said before, all the armor was neutered to the point of having no perks just to incentivize the purchase of loot boxes. If you can honestly say that loot boxes don't affect gameplay, think again.

And Eververse is purposely watered down with shaders ad blue mods and garbage ghosts and those are used to thin out or water down the rng pool, so this way your chances of what you want are almost non existent, even though they try to tell you its all purchaseable with dust, wrong, selected crap is a once a week deal and furthermore, buying engrams is totally gambling and is a slap in the face to all the D1 vets, a hard raid ship meant you did the hard raid, All the worthless trophys are now hidden behind eververs, notice how I said worthless trophys? well I drag race and to me the money is alright to win, but I sure like showing off the trophy, useless yes, but a symbol of my victory. Bungie took all your symbols of victory and monetized them. This is the only reason for a D2, to build it entirely around Eververse.

Because they removed a ton of content from the game , strike loot, ships, shaders, sparrows, all the things we used to get from raids and stuff, and quests is now all in Eververse.. So they go and remove all that stuff, make the game feel like your playing a kids version of what we are used to... And then put A TON more shit in Eververse to buy compared to what was in year three of D1 Think of it this way, in D1 you never had to touch Eververse and you would only be missing out on a few things. But there was still a ton of stuff that were REAL rare drops of exotics, but mainly raid ships, and sparrows, and ghosts.. Now if you want to get all that stuff, you would have to play every minutes of every day to maybe get it all before the season ends.. All this in a game that is less fun to play because they wanted to cater to the largest base of players which is casual.. I have nothing against a casual game player.. But a casual game of destiny is not near as fun... I have really been trying to like this game, but I just can't. I play a couple of games and then I shut it off... where I used to lay for hours on end.. The game is no fun anymore. It has lost its magic in every way.. I play two games, destiny and Terraria, and Terraria is about to get a huge update.. Goodbye destiny, Terraria will be getting all my time when it drops..!

You do realize that all those games have also had massive complaints about the lootboxes and MT's right? No of course not, because you're a fanboy that likes to ignore those facts and want to pretend that everyone is only just picking on poor old Bungie. And no, it is no longer just cosmetics as Ghosts and Sparrows now have perks of their own and do offer something that you can't get without said loot boxes. and before you go "B-but you can get all those things through normal gameplay if you just grind" the likely hood of getting any of those without spending money are so small I would either have to grind endlessly to get what I want or be lucky enough to get it to drop from the engram quickly.

2 답변In other games microtransactions seem complimentary, In D2 they seem like the end game and main focus

Remember when ghost shells boosted light level and mattered? That was taken out so that they could sell the shells as cosmetics. You think sparrow racing is coming back? How will they pull that off while still claiming that Eververse is cosmetic only? Why does armor look like ass unless it's locked behind dlc or put in Eververse? How long until class items don't come with power level so they can be sold as cosmetics? Were you not around for the EA BF debacle? Are you new here? Other games get plenty of shit, and indeed loot boxes are now being questioned on a legal level. Get outta here with that weak ass shit. Quit enabling crooks. They're completely ruining the gaming experience.

1 답변Like I said to someone else. At some point during development of D2 a decision was made on how to move forward. The decision wasnt to improve on the original. They didn't sit down and say how can we improve on D1? They sat down and decided the best way to move forward was to build D2 with Eververse at its heart. Doesn't matter how subtle it does that, that was the decision.

I will keep it real short even though it is a deep subject I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain. All the cool stuff we played the game to accumulate all the sparrows, ghost shells, exotic this or that we got from doing end game activities is now housed in a store to purchase. That is it. This game has no end game and the reason why can be seen as soon as you transmat into the tower. Hope that covers it.

2 답변I really dont get why anyone cars at all about cosmetics. They dont improve your play or make it more fun. Plus you cant see them on your own character. Dont get it and never will

Because before the majority of things that would now be in eververse were in game, specifically from endgame activities. Now the majority of these customization items are available from eververse only, or are much better than the ones available through gameplay. (With some exceptions) Before we had raid ghosts ships and sparrows, now the only way to get a good ship or sparrow are from eververse if you don’t feel like using the green one forever. Eververse wouldn’t be a problem if it just had eververse armor ships sparrows shaders in addition the game having those things in activities as well. Like before how there were the SRL sparrows the chroma and taken armor from eververse, but you could still get quality cosmetics from gameplay, like the Skolas ship, the timebreaker sparrow, etc.
