Destiny 2 - Expansion Pass purchase not acknowledged.

I launched D2 on my PS4 this morning to try out the Curse of Osiris expansion however none of the new content was available. I could not see the planet Mercury and none of the other locations had new Quests or activities, so it looks like the expansion is not active. I have the Curse of Osiris option on the map that provides a 'watch trailer' button and a 'purchase' button.
Looking on my PS account is shows that I have purchased "Destiny 2 - Standard Edition", "Destiny 2 -Digital Deluxe Edition" and "Destiny 2 - Game + Expansion Pass Bundle" (I'm assuming all three titles were provided in the one purchase or the DDE) so I'm wondering why the content is not available.
I tried using the "Download to your PS4" option for each product listed above, launching the game after each attempt but it made no difference. According to the Playstation Store I have purchased the expansion (both one and two) but the game does not seem to agree.
Do I need to delete my current installation and reinstall D2 for the Expansion to work? I don't believe I've had this issue in the past.
All suggestions & information relating to this issue are welcome.

First, please make sure that your Playstation Plus/Xbox Live subscription is up-to-date and active.

Ok so after a little more digging on my PSN account ( reviewing account transaction history via website ), I found I had only purchased the vanilla Destiny 2 game (no expansions). The other products "Destiny 2 - Digital Deluxe Edition" and "Destiny 2 - Game + Expansion Pass Bundle" that show up as "purchased" were never actually purchased. Because they include both the vanilla product and the expansions the Playstation Store marked them as "Purchased" so I can't 'double up' on something I already have ( maybe they should change the wording to "unavailable" instead of "purchased" ? ). Looks like I'm off to purchase the Expansion Pass !!
I'll leave this post here in case anyone else falls into the same ( n00b? ) trap that I did.
