I've already stated my piece as far as IB under Cozmo's post, but I just had to point out that out of this weeks powerful engrams, I've gotten three pairs of the "Synthoceps" and a "The Shelter in Place". Anyone want to tell me what the probability of getting three of the exact same exotics out of the five powerful engrams I've opened are with bungie's "pure rng" system and what the odds are of the fourth being a fourth pair of gauntlets? The same system that is currently being used by IB... because this does not bode well as a foreshadowing of what the rest of IB week (or all IB events if they keep this crappy token system) will be like for me. Fifth engram was a titan mark, if anyone is curious. Only piece of gear I have atm that isn't 305 is my chest piece.

I feel like a reasonable fix for this is remove non-event gear but increase the amount of tokens needed to like 35 per rank

I have had no problem with it because I assumed it was part of the grind to keep trying until you get what you want and not have things handed to you. Especially not the majority of the gear within a few days of an event. That wouldn't make sense. I do believe Vendors should have more than engrams from tokens, as they feel pretty empty. I mean, look at Xur, even. There's so much empty space where there was once ammo synths and other items to purchase with in game currency. They dumbed down the way things are achieved and planned out, but I don't think the solution in this thread is the right one.

Leaving all iron banner drops to rng is a bad thing. There will be people who run iron banner the whole week and not get what they want because of bad rng.

I was so happy when I got a chest peice and arms only to realize that it wasnt iron banner gear :(

I see all these people talking about duplicates and not getting IB gear, and I'm wondering what's going on... Maybe the RNG is with me, or something, but out of 6 packages I've gotten 'bout half the armor set, the launcher, not one, but thankfully TWO of the Spire pulses(thank goodness, the thing is a beast and my Hunter hogs all the good gear right now, my Warlock needs SOMETHING to use in pvp), and the grenade launcher. In fact, this is the first time since the game came out that I'm getting good drops. Before this, I just kept getting the cruddy FWC sniper over and over again, I haven't yet found my very own Nergal Pr4, which I miss very much from the Beta, and I have gotten the Merciless, and Ahamkara's spine not once, not twice, but THREE TO FOUR TIMES when decoding exotic engrams. I don't even use gunslinger! Dude, you need to stop singling out IB, and address this for JUST THE GAME IN GENERAL! I don't remember this 'duplicate' problem being here in D1, but now it's here in D2, and it's very frustrating to me. it's sad that the event everyone's complaining about is the one event where the vendor is being generous to me with rewards. I can't tell if this is cruel irony, or if stingy old Banshee's been holding out on me because he knew Saladin would give me better goods(flips Banshee the bird). Duplicates are a serious issue that needs to be fixed, especially with the Exotics. While it can be useful, since the infusion system is all f'ed up(they should have just kept it as it was in the first game), and some of the exotic weapons are, well, REALLY exotic, like Cold Heart. I do get where's you're coming from, believe me, and I respect if people aren't okay with non-IB stuff being mixed in with IB stuff, but I think it's actually good; towards the end of D1, you could get IB weapons and armor from purchasing engrams, or doing those weapon bounties, to the point where the was no real way to distinguish REAL Iron Banner vets from people who just bought the gear. Now, we have a system where you will KNOW : "I EARNED THIS BY KICKING A LOT OF BUTT." Now you have to WORK for your fancy armor and awesome weapons, just like in the old days! Getting IB gear was way to easy in Year Three, and I'm GLAD it's actually hard again. It makes me feel like I really accomplished something in the crucible, and hey; if there's non-IB stuff mixed, in, there's always a chance I'll get one of the rarer good weapons, like Nightshade(which has only dropped once for me) or the Nergal Pr4 of legend. I won't complain if they fix it; I actually DO approve of then doing so, but I'd just like to say, maybe everyone is still a bit to used to the cushy Iron Banner RNG from Year Three, which I did NOT approve of. It was TOO easy to get gear and weapons, and it just didn't mean as much as it did in year two, and before all that silver dust engram crud. How's THAT for a constructive comment? Was it good? Not sure what the big deal is about regular gear as a reward. Dies anybody not remember how much of a grind D1 IB was? You would need to play like a minimum of 7 hours a day every day of the week just to reach the last rank. And only then could you get the best rewards. I've already gotten 4 or so unique IB reward gear (not including shaders or emblem) and its still the beginning of the week.

Is there no IB gear as post match drops? Only rank up packages? The old system of bounties and rank up plus possible IB gear as post match drops and I used to be swimming in infusion fuel. Now I have two IB sidearms below my level.

I opened my 10th paket last night, and the boots have droped 2 Times, no other armor piece has droped....
