This is a bit ridiculous in my eyes. Firstly, the Kekistani movement is intended as a joke. It's a parody of identity politics as a whole, and is absolutely not a hate group. It's a made-up ethnicity intended to be a substitute for an oppressed class. It's meant to parody the use of someone's race or oppressed class as a buffer for their argument, because in reality one's race, gender, or religion does not affect the credibility of their argument one bit. And yes, it parodies white supremacy just the same as it parodies social justice warriors.
I don't understand how this is in any way a "hate group." It's just a little 4chan injoke that grew way too big until the people memeing it forgot its original meaning.
Bungie, don't become one of these skittish developers that always bows down to overzealous political correctness. There's no need to censor or change your game because it might accidentally offend someone's politics. Us fans just want you to deliver a fun experience that's exactly as the developers intended. Sure, you can say that it's just one armor piece, but it's still substantial. It could have just as easily been that a beloved exotic was found to be "offensive" and had its visuals completely overhauled just to please angry politicals. I don't like this trend in gaming and I thought Bungie was better than this.

1 답변Seriously, were the items straight up removed, or were the skins changed? Was it just the arms, or the whole set? This is highly relevant when determining just how much Bungie shafted the players with this. Worst case scenario, the whole set was removed from player's inventories and will have to be re-earned once added back to the game. Assuming this happened to a guardian where it was their main, and possibly only, set of armor, this means they'll have to start the grind all over again. I have a long list of choice words to say if this is the case. Best case scenario, only the gloves, and the emblem was stealth-edited to less resemble the "hate symbol". This is totally fine by me, so long as that issue doesn't keep popping up with more items (imagine if someone got offended by the FWC logo and Bungie had to change it? That'd -blam!-ing suck). So, to those who were affected directly by this, how bad was it?

2 답변Ok I missed a lot while I was at work, I see the armour has been taken away (rather than just change the lettering/motif design) and can tell the reason by the sheer amount of posts about it. But can I ask please where this info came from? Where did Bungie say it was the reason for the withdrawal? What did I miss? Thank you for any links/sources. Genuinely interested in educating myself.
