I understand this is likely a wall put in place to limit our light level progress to make us play longer, but what it will also do is make people like myself choose between playing higher level activities with weapons they don't like or aren't good with vs. Not doing those activities since the weapons we do like aren't dropping at higher levels.
It seems like a petty complaint, but it really kills my enjoyment of the game. Dont get me wrong, Destiny 2 is great and so far this hasn't been a huge issue for me yet because I've gotten mostly lucky. But if I don't get higher level auto rifles to infuse my Hardlight/ Scathelock, I may be forced into using guns I don't find fun to use just to get into the raid. It feels like poor design to me.
Again, I love Destiny 2, and it is much better than Destiny 1, but this artificial wall seems really crappy to me.
Edit: Wow this blew up. Just a side note: I do not mind the light grind, in fact, I enjoy it! What I DO mind is being forced into using weapon archetypes that I do not enjoy using just to raise my light level. In Destiny 1, you could transfuse like weapon categories into each other regardless of type (primary, special, heavy). I would love for that to come back. Yes, I know you can infuse energy and kinetic into each other if they are the same weapon type, that's not the issue. My issue is I can't transfuse my 279 Graviton Lance (or as I call it, the Hot Garbage) into my 271 Hardlight. To reach my highest possible light level, I am forced to use weapons I hate. THAT, to me, is poor design.

3 답변The real question is why the -blam!- does every armor piece have its own shader slot?
THE -blam!- BUNGO?!?
Agreed. I have a bunch of high level sniper rifles that are pretty much useless for me. Would love to infuse them into my fusion rifles or even my rocket launchers and shotguns. Instead, if I want to be max level I was forced to carry my high level shitty sniper rifle. I say "was" because last night I finally got a shotgun higher level than my snipers.

4 답변i don't understand why so many people that play Destiny are in such a hurry, just slow down and enjoy the game :)

3 답변Think about it this way, can you put a truck tire on a motorcycle? No, in the same sense in that you cannot use parts from a scout rifle to make an smg better. It is not artificial, it is more of real life experience.

This additions was a good addition and a necessary one. It doesn't make sense to have it the other way even though it was awesome how easy it was to raise light. This adds more grind and time to the game without being overly difficult.

5 답변The real pain about infusion limitation is class restriction. You could not infuse a warlock legendary with a higher light level titan armor piece, which makes Sub-characters more difficult to level up in light...

작성자: DocDoom 9/11/2017 8:21:25 AMIt is just more artificial extension of the game. To make the game feel longer and make you hopefully play longer until they can spit up another dlc. This, the shaders, the sucky rng-based way of leveling up past 265. All purposefully designed to be against the player. Literally no-one asked for or even hinted that they wanted these kind of changes.

15 답변
I understand this is likely a wall put in place to limit our light level progress to make us play longer, but
This, right here, is where you need to stop. There is no scheme to make you play longer. Never has been. The way the system works now is how it should have always been. In fact, it's how the infusion system was described in D1.
To reach my highest possible light level, I am forced to use weapons I hate.
No one is forcing you to use anything, kiddo. You don't have to equip anything you don't like.
THAT, to me, is poor design.
So? Do you have decades of experience building games from the ground up? I didn't think so. You are of course entitled to your opinion, but this is like a school kid telling an engineer he doesn't know how to assemble a chair.

3 답변Armor sets also can't be infused between different classes. No more infusing that Titan boots for your Warlock or Hunter!

1 답변I agree with this, it's my only gripe about a very good game. I don't want to main guns I don't like for the sake of power leveling.
