I understand this is likely a wall put in place to limit our light level progress to make us play longer, but what it will also do is make people like myself choose between playing higher level activities with weapons they don't like or aren't good with vs. Not doing those activities since the weapons we do like aren't dropping at higher levels.
It seems like a petty complaint, but it really kills my enjoyment of the game. Dont get me wrong, Destiny 2 is great and so far this hasn't been a huge issue for me yet because I've gotten mostly lucky. But if I don't get higher level auto rifles to infuse my Hardlight/ Scathelock, I may be forced into using guns I don't find fun to use just to get into the raid. It feels like poor design to me.
Again, I love Destiny 2, and it is much better than Destiny 1, but this artificial wall seems really crappy to me.
Edit: Wow this blew up. Just a side note: I do not mind the light grind, in fact, I enjoy it! What I DO mind is being forced into using weapon archetypes that I do not enjoy using just to raise my light level. In Destiny 1, you could transfuse like weapon categories into each other regardless of type (primary, special, heavy). I would love for that to come back. Yes, I know you can infuse energy and kinetic into each other if they are the same weapon type, that's not the issue. My issue is I can't transfuse my 279 Graviton Lance (or as I call it, the Hot Garbage) into my 271 Hardlight. To reach my highest possible light level, I am forced to use weapons I hate. THAT, to me, is poor design.

Yeah I thought that was a weird decision. It's probably mostly their was to keep people playing and attempt to cause more diversity, at least for now. Because I still equip my highest stuff since I don't trust their leveling system yet.

The one thing I will say about it is that it's forced me to try out archetypes I may have avoided otherwise. Being unable to infuse whatever archetype I want together makes me choose from either staying a lower power or picking up that submachine gun and giving it a shot. I've found a lot of weapons that I'd never have though I would enjoy, as well as getting better aquainted with some old archetypes I didn't enjoy in the first game. Turns out handcannons aren't as bad as I left them in Destiny 1.

9 답변Makes more sense this way, you can take a sword and turn it into a damn rocket launcher!

Eh, I feel like it's a good spot between end of D1 infusion and when infusion first came out. Not too easy, not too difficult. At the end of Destiny it kinda just felt like they were simply trying to get everyone to 400 light so they could feel good about themselves. At the start it was just annoying. With this, I'm actually looking for specific things that are a specific level without being overly anal about it, and I'm actually able to get excited about stuff.

I agree. I'm stuck with a 283 handcannon I hate, but forced to use only handcannons. 266 is all i get. I would love to infuse it into my auto rifle but can't. It needs to change. It forces a loadout that sucks. D1 infusion was fine.

Yep, this is sucking. My light needs to be 280 to purchase the legendary mods, but all of my gear above 280 are exotics. If I infuse them into legendary weapons of that type, I will be using gun types that dont suit me. Oh well I guess, it's the only way to lvl up.
-
I agree with your argument and also see the other side to it but I find myself doing that very thing, limiting my own power because I suck ass with sniper rifles when it seems the highest light heavy I get is a sniper or being forced to use a pulse as a primary because it's higher light when I'd much rather use a hand cannon and I feel this takes away from gameplay

3 답변The worst is infusing a legendary 270 into a legendary 260 and coming away with a 265 because you didn't notice the damn +5 modifier on the piece you infused.

11 답변it's so completely fcuking stupid. everyone loved the 100% infusion of like grouped weapons and armor. WHY DID THEY TRY TO REINVENT THE WHEEL AGAIN?????? I seriously seriously don't get this developer at all, they innovate almost nothing in the areas people have been clamoring about for literally years (except PvP, which they innovated for the worse imo) and the things they did right, they change. WHAT THE FCUK.

I was going to make the same post then i found this. I agree as i don't use submachine guns/Grenade launchers (because personal preference i just don't like them) and those are the exact items i keep dropping at a higher light. Got 3 of the bloody things last night from Clan rewards. Can't infuse them with anything so they end up as scrap. I didn't mind unlocking the perks as now exotics don't really feel that exotic to me now because everything is unlocked when you get them. Loving the game but i think it just needs a few minor tweaks, which i think will come and not sure why everyone is hating on peoples posts all the time. This is a suggestion and without suggestions bungie can't tweak the game.

3 답변At least it doesnt count against us as far as engrams are concerned, I hated throwing on two random exotics and an ugly cloak just to get screwed by rahool. Think about it, they literally had us "Dressing up" to get absolutely screwed by that old creep.

1 답변At least they let you infuse Energy weapons with Kinetic Weapons/vice-versa. I just need a good supply of hand cannons and side arms to keep my Sturm and Drang combo going.
-
5 답변I can't wait until I arrive at the raid with 2 sidearms because they are the highest thing I have😐. That's probably an extreme example. But it's not as if I can just infuse my better rifles, because you can't.

1 답변I'm having the same problem trying to power up the coldheart the only guns I have that I can infuse are guns I want to keep

4 답변작성자: U12070628 9/10/2017 6:59:36 PMI have a shitty 290 grenade launcher that I want to infuse so badly. It dropped at a unusually high power level and I been stuck with this pos forever.
