Hi, some of you might remember me from 3 years ago (probably not), in which I had the highest trending post for almost a month at the release of Destiny. I went over how Destiny needed beards, but more importantly a more robust customization system for our characters and almost everyone agreed with me, and there was even a great discussion of cosmetic features for the races, such as the holobeard for exos... real neat stuff. But here we are, three years later and Destiny 2 is out. Surely they'd manage to mildly increase the ability to customize our characters...? Nah its the literal exact same thing as Destiny nothing new, at all.
You'd assume with wanting to please many of the people who were turned off by the first game that the literal easiest thing to do to make a good impression is model some interesting new cosmetic features for the character we're supposed to get attached to for the next ten years we're supposed to be playing this game, yeah?
It just leaves a real negative taste in my mouth that they'd not even do so little as to let us make a decent looking human or space elf or make discount Chappie look interesting. Its just lazy. I could continue on about how robust customization aids immersion and subconsciously makes the player more attached to the story, but the devote player base doesn't care because "you're wearing a helmet who cares" despite being forced to take it off in cutscenes. And Bungie/Activision obviously doesn't care enough to please anyone aside from people dumb enough to actually defend the decision to reuse the exact same system as the first.

OMG the first ''guy'' you meet in the game has this awesome beard! loll.. Almost as to insult all players that had previously requested the beard customization. ''You want a beard? here, look at THIS guy!'' I'm hoping that if enough people complain about this that they WILL add the barber shop.. don't see why it would be such a big deal. They clearly know how to make good looking beards. BTW I LOVE what you've done with Destiny 2, Bungie.. I'm a day 1 fan.. but need them beards! :)

The customization system is, code for code, ported directly from the previous game. It also seems like they used the 7th gen version of the game, because our characters look terrible compared to other characters.

1 답변I guess Bungie want the character to not change as to continue the 'adventure' with the same toon as the previous game to give it that 'life long feel' but I agree that human males (well some of them) are able to grow beards and this should have been in the game. If it does get added don't be surprised if its paid Eververse items. Glad I picked an Exo titan - no beards for me :)

5 답변1. The guardians are a military force. Which means cleanshaven 2. How would you even have a beard AND wear a small helmet

5 답변Beards are really ugly though. And no one wants to kiss someone with a beard and get hair in their mouth.

5 답변This is the future, unnecessary facial hair is a thing of the past, it has been evolved out of our species.

2 답변작성자: Socka 9/7/2017 4:12:58 AMI saw the character creaton on youtube. The first thing I reacted to was actually "No beard for male!?" The male look so goofy without beard. And beeing able to customize it more specifically, binds the actuall character in a more personal perspective. Tbh, all human, including female, were not an option for me, I disliked them all. But I really want to have a human character, but the only good looking character, in my opinion, is the Awoken Female with no hair. Exo Male looks decent aswell, but Awoken is closer to "human". I find it sad that Bungie havn't made more customizations for the character creation to make the characters more personal to each induvidual player out there. Sorry for my wonky english.

Extremely shoddy on bungle's part, beard styles and more hair styles would have added that extra personal touch, the touch that gets the player more involved with their character. For a 2017 game it's very basic in that regard, I hoped for tattoos and facial scars, sadly it remains one of the worst character creation elements in a game I've ever used.

1 답변This is my one major complaint. We can't edit existing players. No haircut or removal of features? Love the game anyway but would really like to see some options for existing guardians

It is.. its just lazy that its the same old system for character creation. And on top of that, they got rid of race default emotes, and locked the default emotes so even when you make a new character, you get the same emotes.
