Looks like I'm going to miss out on that raid grind thanks to hurricane irma . Stay safe all my Florida guardians

8 답변I lived in florida my whole life around the clearwater, St Pete, and largo areas. Yeah that little peninsula within florida lol. Let me just say that i'm am not too worried. I've seen what hurricanes do to this part of florida, and in the main center of florida it'll just be just heavy rain and some decent wind. Here is about the same. Florida is a mixed bag. In largo where i live we are about 15-20 ft above sea level and rather raised so rain water can flow effectively. Flooding can occur but drains quickly, and rarely goes above half a foot, when most building are at least a foot raised lol. Most of the people freaking out are tourists or people who haven't live in florida for very long. Besides the models predict irma to drop to a category 3 when it reaches florida, that isn't too dangerous if aren't on the coast. Though if you live 2-5 miles near coast the hurricane is hitting get the -blam!- out lmao. Since that is where the flooding will mostly occur. Florida does have the infrastructure to deal with hurricanes, that why power only stays out for at most 4 hours when the storm dies off a bit. In my area i predict at worst the power will go out for 7-8 hours with some heavy wind and rain. What i am really worried about is what happens during that time. In that time, i am more worried about people looting and destroying stuff. Getting violent while doing so of course. The media is focusing so much on the hurricane and not focusing on the human aspect not nearly as much. Humans are more dangerous than any hurricane lmfao. I work at a convenience store, so believe me, people become disgusting during events like these. Well as a native floridian i can actually tell you that you shouldn't worry too much except for south florida near miami, the keys, and coasts facing the hurricane. The rest of florida can safely ignore this oversized thunderstorm lmao. I've been in several hurricanes. Yeah they can be pretty nasty, but overall not too bad.

And we haven't even taken the full brunt of the storm as of yet. Considering how things are down here, I figure I'll be able to play again sometime by Halloween. If I'm lucky. Stay safe folks.

4 답변hurricane harvey wasnt fun for me man stay safe evac if you can its supposed to be the most destructive hurricane recorded to date. lets hope tropical storm jose doesnt come our way..

작성자: A Broken Record 9/7/2017 1:43:17 PMI think you and your family are going to be ok,but imo i hope you guys do plan on evacuating as this storm might not be as bad as Andrew,but if you live in a low land area that is prone to flooding i would get the hell out. Best of luck to you dude as this storm hit my native country of Puerto RIco and luckily my family lives on the North Western side of Puerto Rico and weren't hit as hard,but it has caused widespread devastation through out most of Puerto Rico which really saddens me. So anyone who lives out in Florida either evacuate or if you do plan on riding out the storm i wish you the best of luck.
