Mother Nature doesn't care if the Moon is blocking it. Your eyes will still get damaged.
NASA has published some instructions on how to make your own homemade eclipse viewers. If you want to experience it, take a look at their videos.
EDIT: All of you are being smartasses, just don't stare at it for a long time. A tiny flick of your eyes won't blind you, but be careful.

5 답변>Tfw you missed the eclipse because you where in class and they didn't let anyone out to see it because they knew that kids would be idiots and stare at it ironically like the -blam!-wads they are. I wish they did stare at the eclipse "ironically" so they could be "ironically" blind as their punishment.

6 답변Also regular sunglasses won't cut it. My school gave us specialized sunglasses that are 20x darker than regular and we still are only supposed to look at it in 20 seconds intervals. That's not saying sunglasses aren't better than no glasses but be careful. Also if you have pets like a dog or a cat it's best to keep them away from Windows and inside.

8 답변Actually, just a second peek at the Sun during the eclipse can still blind you. Your optic nerves will be sunburned in a moment's notice and you won't even feel it. Some effects may not even manifest until hours afterward.
