Like many of you, I was on the hype train for Destiny 2 because I was exited to see where the story was going to go. I even went the extra mile and sprung for the limited edition of the game. After playing the beta, however, I was put on the fence about whether or not it was worth it.
Aside from the Beta being so short I was unable to truly put the new character abilities to the test and see how they favored in various situations, the game play itself was disappointing. Above you will find a YouTube video with a lot of points I agree with. At the same time, I will also list several of my own.
First, I do not like the new weapon load out and much preferred the old one (primary, special, and heavy). Second, I do not like how the the perks for the super have been, as a lot of people have put it, dumbed down. For me, and a lot of people I have talked to personally, the new super ability set up is too limiting and does not have the same "wow factor" as the old supers.
In short, all the evidence I have come across and collected, thus far, points to the conclusion that Destiny 2 will be a repeat of Destiny 1, but with better graphics. It is for these reasons, and several others, I have decided to get off the hype train and cancel my pre-order for Destiny 2.
Do not mistake my disappointment; I do not blame Bungie for Destiny's shortcomings and nor should others. If anyone is to blame for letting us down, it should be Activision for making unreasonable demands of Bungie and, in essence, taking control of their project.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this. Please check out the video link above and leave your comments below to let me know if you agree or disagree. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say. Again, thank you all for your time.

Their push to make PVP more competitive at the cost of PVE has really destroyed any incentive MOST people have for playing the game. The average Destiny player was a PVE oriented player, that played PVP occasionally - and we played it for the fun, fast-paced, space magic action in both modes, not for an ultra-competitive halo-like experience. In fact, Halo had Double-Exp weekend this weekend if you didn't notice. Mythic Shotty-Snipes, where we got to use the Mythic versions of the snipers and shotguns. Linda's Norfang was an instant OHK no matter where you hit your opponent, and the shotgun boosted your speed so that even with OHK snipers, you could still maneuver and get to within shotgunning range. Me and my clan mates had a blast! One of my members, who DID buy RoI and moved on with Y3 of the game, even commented that this was the fun kind of gameplay that Bungie is terrified about! And he was absolutely right! While it was frustrating at times to have a team set up to spawn-snipe you, we had a blast in most other matches whether we won or lost. And that is ultimately why we play the game - to have fun. In Y1 of Destiny, PVE was fun, PVP was fun, and the game never left my disc drive. In Y2 of Destiny, they started doing things to change the nature of the game, and I don't believe that these changes were for the better. The only thing that keeps me around now is that I'm interested in seeing how all these changes pan out. On paper at least, its looking like D2 is going to be a disappointing flop. And I certainly hope that it is, mainly because the only thing that will derail Bungie from the course they are currently on is if the game DOES flop and it forces them to correct their coarse and make the game more like the game most of us came to love. If not, I guess Activision will have both Destiny AND CoD to bank on in the shooter department.

Some of the so called inconsistencies are way off. Like, we're supposed to be totally cool with six Raze Lighters and Dark Drinkers on our raid team, but throw a hissy fit because Shaxx has a Raze of his own. Sorry, can't be bothered.

More complicated is rarely better.
all the evidence I have come across and collected, thus far, points to the conclusion that Destiny 2 will be a repeat of Destiny 1
For PvE, all Bungie needed to do was make Destiny 1 in its current form look better with more new content. We don't know what the new progression system will be, and after my disappointment with the new weapon system in the beta, I am concerned that Bungie will also ruin progression. For PvP, Bungie needed to fix the one-shot kill issue and add dedicated servers. Unfortunately, their fix for one-shot kill weapons hurt PvE and instead of dedicated severs, they nerfed team sizes to 4v4 only. We have about 5 weeks until Destiny 2 launch, and I hope Bungie can fix this.

1 답변I agree... that was a rant, but it wasn't done very well. I'm not buying D2 either... but not because of anything you even said. I prefer customization and a 2-path skill tree is really the downfall for me. No longer will we have ways to mold our individual play style. Now we'll have a ton of the same running around. Also... 2 primaries feel so weak, even if they tripled the amount of power drops, I hate 2 primaries. Doesn't make sense... and even separating kinetic and energy is a huge wtf to me. Finally 4v4.. worst ever decision. They should be expanding to 8v8.... not dwindling to 4v4 crap.

1 답변Bungie willingly partnered with Activision. Activision is not their boss, its their partner. Giving Bungie a pass on this is foolish. I agree with your assertions about the gameplay and the lack of it moving forward, but i do not agree with your suggestion that Bungie is not to blame. They made this bed, now they have to lie in it.

3 답변Good on you. Cancel and hopefully they fix things (maybe) and buy in cheap with everything stacked in a GOTY edition.

49 답변That's okay. I preordered the sh#t out of it. I even preordered the expansions. I let the hate flow past my windswept locks because I know I will play the sh#t out of it. To recap. Preordered the sh#t. Will play the Sh#t. Can't be worse than Doom,Mass Effect,or Overwatch. Spending money on those three was the real tragedy. I have chosen the Destiny franchise as "my" game for however long it lasts, and regardless of all the whining around here I find that no stranger than you WoW people out there.

It's just as impossible for Joker (which seems to be the biggest joke of all) to know what D2 will be like to play and what might be wrong with it, as it is for you to be disappointed with a game that none of us have actually played yet

3 답변I like this video https://youtu.be/xoy5ng4egV4. Specifically the part about constrictive criticism. If it weren't for players like me and the guy in the video there would only people over hyping the game and bungie wouldn't grow or learn from their mistakes(if they are mistakes). Other companies would try pulling the same crap bungie does. Hell its already happening. Its always funny seeing fanboys attack me when I don't have something positive to say about the game.

1 답변This guy's vids are pretty funny, but in the end he's just trying to copy batmandobbins. Destiny bashing gets views. Being forcefully judgmental of every little thing is just as annoying as someone who praises the game unconditionally.

2 답변작성자: gallp13 7/31/2017 6:34:52 PMDecided to pre-order after beta as did most of friends list who play D1. There will be cancellations and new pre-orders. Proof in final player population.

13 답변That guy needs to chill. He also needs to get informed before making a negative review. 1. Gear makes Charge rates go faster: which he states he would be surprised if Bungie implemented. It's been known for months! 2. The plot. He wasn't even paying attention to the cutscene, I guess. Someone disabled the sensors from the inside; they just had noticed it. 3. The plot again. He forgets that warp holes are a thing. The cabal ships weren't in plain sight. (He's practically copying Darkside with the plot) 4. 4 minutes of the f word stating anyone who disagrees with him is lying to themselves 5. He claims that razelighter is only "our sword," since there is "one crystal," neglecting that they are made with the essence of the cyrstal, not the actual cyrstal. We can make as many as we want! 6. He makes a segment on dialogue, ignoring 1/4 of it. "My ghost tagged the cabal as the red legion" does not mean an interrogation or the vanguard knew they were coming. It could have just be a banner! 7. He think the only argument against him is that it's a trap. He says it's false because if he was quicker he would kill Ghual. He fails to realize Ghual went out to the deck only when the light was being drained. We could have escaped! Does that matter? No. We didn't disable the traveler taker. 8. He says Ghual has never met people with the light, and that he was lucky the machine worked. He says the consul is the darkness: which he doesn't know and hell, breaks his statement. (It could be anyone (speaker)). 9. He thinks that we could super after our light is taken. I'm done now. That last one made me realize how lame of an attempt that video was for attention.

Pre ordering in the next few weeks. I enjoyed the beta after playing it for a few days, there was not much to do but i knew that from the information we had before hand. Some of you guys complaining have 1000s of hourse in Destiny, no wonder you don't like the changes. You are set in your ways and any change is going to feel wrong. I have nothing against people who are cancelling or not pre ordering, you need to look at the amount of time you have spent playing Destiny( probably very little, if anything, else). I quit before the big april update so i'm looking forward getting back into the franchise.

12 답변Thats all fine and dandy. In actuality you have not played Destiny 2, you have played a limited beta. Also you are just sick of the game-play style of destiny as a whole and should avoid any games akin to boarderlands, diablo, and any first person shooters.
