Or just make it not complete garbage.
It's not that good. Yes it fits the "lone wolf" attitude Hunters are supposed to have, but it's horrible for team play. The dodge ability should just be a "hidden" ability given to all Hunter subclasses, while replacing the global class ability.
(I'm not taking credit for this idea, but I saw it on Reddit and definitely agreed with it)
The class ability should be the "Vanish in Smoke" bomb from the Nightstalker.
It would:
A) Make all players in the radius go invisible while reloading their guns
Or
B) Invisibility lasts longer and won't break when shooting a weapon.
This would still fit the lore and attitude of the Hunter while providing the Hunters with a team based ability.
Please Bungie, Please.
Edit: A lot of people have responded saying, "No. Keep dodge but just make it more powerful.". I'm certainly not opposed to that. I just wanted to make a suggestion that better fit team-play and hunters roles as a "DPS" class.

Maybe in the crucible a bit useless (expect trials of the nine and competitive) but I agree. I'm a Titan main and love the new teamplay but hunters are more an attachment than helpfull with their current class skill.

Honestly I am going with no. I like the Dodge abilities either melee recharge or fully loaded weapon. We go with what you say and dodge will need to have no bonuses to it because others would cry that is overpowered. Hunter's Dodge is to improve dps for them. You can continually melee and dodge around minor enemies because it is a infinite circle if done right! The reload one is amazing too. Being able to refill my magazine by jumping sideways is great! I have supported my fireteam's through Destiny with a hunter main and none of my buddies have complained. Another reason for that is I if we needed another Warlock or Titan. I have all three classes because none of them are bad. Definitely needed some extra look over for sure but out right bad. Nope. Hunter's are the offense, Titan's are the defense, and Warlock's are the support. Compared to how Bungie defined the classes in Destiny. Destiny 2 has done even more defining in a more obvious way.

I like the idea but the dodge should definitely remain. It's a cool ability and should tie to double circle. I agree on top of that a hold circle ability would be cool, smoke screen that enemies can't see through but you and teammates can. Would be tight

3 답변I'm kinda liking that idea if the invisibility cloak lasted longer. But then again I do still enjoy shadestep

6 답변작성자: GalaxySpider 7/25/2017 9:43:56 AMTbh, the Hunter right now is the only sub-class with an instant cooldown for his class ability (Arcstrider). Combined with the Combo-melee he constantly recovers health. Dodge, melee, Dodge, melee etc. So in terms of surviving he can do that without standing on one spot (wall, rift). Since we don't know what kind of perks the third sub-class will offer, any major change to his dodge could break the synergy (which might be planned with his third sub-class as well). But a samll team buff given by his gamblers dodge would be nice.

3 답변I completely agree, hunters have always been left out of team play because of the fact they really bring nothing to the table that helps the entire team. I wish there was some buff that helped all teammates like how warlocks have dmg and healing buff and titans have a defence buff. Probably should've given the dmg/attack buff to hunters to supply the team instead of some whacky dodge.

5 답변Yes, I mained a hunter pretty exclusively through all of Destiny and through all the nerfs buffs and missed arcblade swipes I stayed true... took one look at that little twirl he's got and said that's it! I've had enough! Me go punch thing now. And have new wall friend

2 답변I hate hunters.. But I agree, they got dicked on their ability.. They should have evade still by double tapping b. But holding down b should create a rift like the warlock. But in that rift, they are invisible and it lasts up to 5 seconds after they leave the rift.

6 답변I won't speak to replacement ideas, but it does feel much less useful than the other 2 class options. Well, if I'm going down that road I'll say the Titan ability is head and shoulders above both Warlock and Hunter.

3 답변You do realize that if they make it the nightstalker smoke bomb everyone will complain about "recycled content".

2 답변Or not thank you... I don't want to lose my throwing knife. If the global skill should be anything for the hunter it should be. 1) headshot kills using ability turn you invisible and reload your guns. 2) kills in general help recharge your melee and grenade abilities. And then just make melees on all classes have the ability for precision damage (punch in the face).

I mean I've played all three and here's the thing. I remember my rifts, I remember my walls, but I never even remotely remember to dodge or find a need to ever use the subclass ability outside of pve arc stripper dodge melee chain combo. With that said i need to get better at the warlock.

4 답변I think the idea is that every class plays a roll. You have Titan with the shield as the tank, warlock with healing and hunter as the slayer.
