Not going to lie I was excited for the beta today. Then I downloaded and played it. Felt like more of the same from the original. I do understand beta is not the finished product. However if I am going to spend my money on a brand new shiny Destiny I would like to be able to see some of these new features and not just play 1 of 2 PVP maps and a Strike mission. At least with the original Destiny Beta I got the opportunity to learn about my character, learn about the abilities and to grow some with the character. This beta basically told me, "You know the drill...have at it." Very hard to get into a game that gives you more of the same and none of the new. Shouldn't we be testing out the new stuff to make sure it works properly and get use to it?

38 하위 스레드 답변작성자: mungrel 7/22/2017 10:19:58 AMBy playing it you are actively assisting in making d2 bright and shiny. Every t8me you strike your controller, it is recorded and analyzed, then anomalies are smoothed. You are helping. Your disappointment in content is not the problem of people trying to refine the game, their real problem is operating the system smoothly to transition through all of the most travelled high traffic code and to ensure it glitches minimally. What are the most high traffic? Hit box Movement Modalities Perk trees Orbit behaviour Specials Proximity mapping. In order to research and refine such a -blam!-ing huge data stream, parameters of investigation must be set. In this beta, the parameters are the major game Modalities. Story, strike, crucible, and player function through those. Sorry mate, it isn't a sneak preview or expose or test drive. Do you even realise everyone playing the beta has already bought the game? You are considering your content value a reason to provide negative feedback because YOU feel there isn't enough for you to feel immersed in the the game. That is not the role of a beta test, nor why it came with the pre purchase of D2. A beta test is asking dedicated and committed players to help them "real time" test their in-house code. I'm not sure, but I think you believe that the beta was a bonus mini dlc for early purchase. Early purchase, in fact, is an easy way to gather a control group who are suitable to test the game mechanics quickly, as most people who pre order played. Sorry you feel hard done by, but you and a lot of other sour grapes, boo hiss types are really missing the point, you are a lab rat assisting the developers in improving the future experience in a game you already bought. If you test drive a car to see how it drives, you don't red line it to top speed and drift hard around every corner do you? Relax mate. You haven't been duped. You'll get your content. Edited to include Tl/Dr Its a beta, not a demo. Get over it.

I can understand that people expect more, and are disappointed in what they have seen. That's their own decision based off of what they want from Bungie, and I can't fault them for it. They're a better judge of what will make them happy than I am. However, expecting more is different than believing bungie owes us a more expansive beta that more accurately reflects a finished product. That defeats the purpose of a beta. They don't need the marketing as much as D1 because they have an established player base. This means they can afford to focus more on what a beta should be for instead of creating hype like D1s beta was designed for. This is why I thought your original comment was particularly appropriate to respond to. So many people are bashing on the Beta as if it were a full Demo.

Agreed mostly, in some ways it is a demo though, anyone who wasn't lucky enough to attend an event and get a chance to play, this is they're first hands on experience with the changes made, so in that regard I can understand them wanting more such as a lost sector to play through. I also believe on Bungie's part along the design path should have had this in consideration, the beta is extremely limited in a sense like it was a last minute toss together. Using D1 as a reference it was what 3 months till the first DLC, to me that's not terrible, but since Rise of Iron there has been no significant content, people are itching to see something new.
