This beta has many people thinking they are dropping high Kill/Death ratios in pvp matches, when in actuality the new scoring system is providing us with Kill+Assist/Death ratios.
Since the release you've all seen it, a bunch of videos and screenshots posted to brag about dropping a really high K/D in D2 Beta pvp match. For example there's tons of videos with baited titles such as "D2 Beta Ridiculous 20.0kd game!". Maybe these people just haven't realized it's KA/D yet, or maybe they do know but are happy to mislead people to try and make themselves look good.
The killstreaks are overinflated bs too. I've had games where I get that 10x streak next to my name, and a teammate will tell me "holy crap nice". I'm thinking to myself "I can't be proud of this, I hardly even got any kills in the kills feed, all I did was put a bullet or two in somebody and my teammates cleaned them up". This scoring system definitely does not envelope the same sense of accomplishment as D1, when a 10x kill streak meant you actually had to 'finish' that number of opponents and not die.
My friend said "this scoring system is Bungie treating us like we're fat kids who don't do the best in a race, but receive a gold participation medal to feel good about ourselves". I mean I know the positive aspect is this scoring helps promote teamwork/teamshots, but I'm not in favor of this compared to the D1 scoring system.
EDIT: First point I want to make is that I believe assists are a valuable performance statistic, and are good to have in game. However, when you take two different stats 'assists' and 'kills', then pretend they're the exact same thing...i think that is just lazy and false.
EDIT: Second point is there are a bunch of people misrepresenting the end game stats to make themselves look good. If you want to brag and be proud of a D2 Beta match that's fine, just don't tell me you got 27kills with 9.0k/d, when you actually got 18kills 9assists with 9.0ka/d.

I'm not stupid, I understand the scoring system is much more forgiving. Hell I have two WROOMs already. And I recorded one.... the gameplay was so damn boring for it, half of it was assists... At this point I consider anything under a 2.5 "efficiency" a mediocre performance..

2 답변Does say a 15 kill streak include assists or are in match streaks purely kills you make?

3 답변I think it's fine. Larger kill counts can be harder to come by with only 4 opponents. Keep the average but it should still be split into critical kills and assists

3 답변As someone who has an obscene amount of Unsung Hero medals due to teammates putting a single killing bullet into what should have been my kill, I like this mew system.

lol it's overwatch in space with less fun characters! good job bungie way to ruin an fps ! That takes talent.
seriously though team killing is necessary because the time to kill can be measured with a calendar.
Because you did all the work and deserved all the credit when I took some guy down to 10% of his health, and you put the last bullet into him from across the map for the kill. Totally accurate scoring system. I can see why you're so upset that it's been changed.

작성자: THE SARGE 01 7/21/2017 10:16:08 AMI think it is a fair scoring system. If I see the enemy first, shot him first, drop his shield until he goes critical and then you finish him off with a single shot, how does that translate into you being MLG? that should not count entirely towards your K/D... Hence the reason they are going with a KA/D scoring system. Makes the game more team oriented rather that continuing to glorify the K/D ratio of any individual who may mot have even attempted to secure any objective.

I like it because it gets the game farther away from the streamer / promoter mentality, pushing high KD etc. This game desperately needed a casual blanket, get away from catering to the top 5%. Will be a much more enjoyable game for most destiny buyers, so kudos to bungie for figuring out previous tactical mistakes. They aren't so dumb after all. This will keep more players engaged and playing over time.
