I'm just going to leave this here for some casual reading. And possibly future reference.

That article pretty much nailed it. Until the beta I have stayed away from Destiny for about three months aside maybe 3 matches of PvP. I like what they did with PvP and am doing way better in the beta (D2 over 2.x vs D1 1.07 K/D) but only feel like playing a few matches at a time unlike in D1.

Honestly, I'm not happy with how things turned out, but I feel totally vindicated. I got shat on all over because I was skeptical of all the changes and people kept saying "wait till the beta comes out, you'll see, it'll be great." Well I've waited. I haven't played it yet - that will come tomorrow. But everything I'm seeing thus far vindicates and substantiates ALL my fears about how D2 would turn out. I'm actually not happy about being right though. I would much rather D2 be the second coming of Y1 than to be right about the direction the game is going in.

Damn dude.
Quit bullshittin. This is how Destiny 2 will play. No matter how many story missions, Strikes, Raids or Crucible maps are in the final game. This is the core gameplay. And it has got people concerned.
It's definitely not core gameplay. That is your opinion buddy

작성자: Smith5084 7/20/2017 8:25:03 PMBungie needs to be circulating this article around their office, and figuring out how to fix the majority of these issues before launch, because literally everyone that I know that plays the game feels exactly the same way that this guy does, and I'm sure that sentiment isn't limited to my circle of friends.

They need to start firing people, starting with the sandbox team. This is what they've needed to do now for the last year +, but instead, Bungie allowed that same sandbox team to basically dictate the direction of the entire game for D2. This cannot be resolved before D2's launch, and the only sign that Bungie has taken this matter seriously is if some people lose their jobs.

작성자: Ahhsenberg 7/20/2017 10:32:26 PMI'm sure that everyone is just working under the direction of the higher ups. Do you really think that Bungievision would let employees do anything that they wouldn't want? There's a ton of backstory of the tense atmosphere back when managers/the committee started to interfere more directly with Destiny 1. By now they must have everyone where they want them - anyone who wasn't on board was taken care of already. PvP and streamlining are their main focus because it gets them the crowd they want.

The way I see it, this falls squarely in the laps of the Sandbox team. They spent 2 years trying to reverse-engineer Destiny into being Halo, and when they couldn't do it, they probably pounded the table and convinced the higher ups that they could resurrect the glory days they had with Halo if ONLY the company allowed them to remold the entire game to suit their slow PVP, Halo-esque agenda. So I don't doubt that the higher ups had their fair share of involvement in this case, but I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of the Sandbox team, who has been obsessed with trying to recreate the Halo glory days since Vanilla launched. They're driving the agenda here. I'd be much more apt to allow Luke Smith a second chance than I would be to buy a game wherein Luke Smith wasn't involved, but the current sandbox kept their jobs.
