Don't mistake the vocal minority on this forum. I guarantee you D2 PvP will post much, much better player retention numbers then D1 did.
D1 pvp was a mess. It was broken.
While d2 MP obviously has flaws it actual feels like a somewhat competent pvp shooter. As opposed to a broken mess that you'd play for 20 minutes before laughing and turning it off.
With that being said here's a few things I think could be tweaked for the better.
-Nades and melees should recharge a little bit faster. They're pretty weak now so there's no need to have them on such a long cool down timer.
-The big problem is nade recharge being too long. People can clump teamshot because you almost never have an AOE attack to prevent it.
-Kill times and movement speeds could be bumped up a tad.
-I don't like that kills and assists are merged. Especially since assists are given out so easily.
-Static weapon perks make duplicate weapon drops totally pointless. You may as well be getting nothing.
-The lack of subclass options is disappointing.
- What's the point of "competitive" and "quick play" if they use the exact same MM? Competitive should have tight skill and party size MM. Quick play should be pretty much only cbmm.

I think people are losing sight of the fact that the beta PvP is not a true indication of what PvP will be like once we're fully leveled with larger arsenals. The beta is an introduction to the "new" mechanics of D2 PvP. Feels somwhere between D1 and Halo 3 to me.

6 답변Remember in D1 when your team of matchmade randoms came up against a full fireteam and got pubstomped? Remember half your team quitting after 90 seconds (if they didn't while you were orbitting in)? Remember orbitting into a game where the opposition full fireteam is 15 seconds from victory? Playing D2 PvP solo is gonna be even more painful methinks....

6 답변D2 PvP is really terrible. It is just 3 to 4 guys roving around mowing the other team down. This is compounded if you are not in a fire-team. At least in old PvP you could have the 4 person kill team running around and the other 2 could work the edge of the map. New PvP is boring..and if it is 4 v 3...it is just a train wreck. My interest in D2 is dropping fast.

9 답변The new PVP doesn't stand out. It is just a basic multiplayer experience. Anything is better than the current state of the D1 crucible though. D1 crucible is garbage. The uniqueness of Destiny is lost. Not much has been said about the strike. I thought any D1 strike played and looked better than the inverted spire.

8 답변I've been experiencing really delayed kills in the beta. I.E. I cut someone down with a pulse, they kill me with a pulse, take 10 steps and then die... to my pulse. It's happening A LOT. I also get a lot of baffling kills that don't make sense like other players run behind a wall with a sliver of health and then dies when behind cover. Lots and lots of delayed kills. My internet connection is great and D1 is not this delayed for me. Just surprised to see this happening so often in the beta.

27 답변작성자: DeathPony07 7/20/2017 2:35:16 AMIt's a slow, boring, team shooting campfest with shit weapons and a long ttk. It's absolute trash compared to Year 1 Crucible.

7 답변I think that while I personally agree with you that's not a universal fact. Some people enjoy more fast paced silly pvp. Others enjoy more tactical, heart pumping pvp. D1 was close to cod because of how quick TTK was. The amount of players made 1v1 engagements pretty frequent. meaning less team fights. and ability spam swung fights so hard skill was rarely a factor in an engagement. More who was quicker on the draw. D2 is much more team orientated. I don't feel like the ability cool down changes among other things have "taken away" destiny's charm and it's suddenly no longer unique. Abilities still swing fights greatly. Supers are still very much moments of power that are equally amazing to use as frustrating to die to. I almost always had an ability when I felt like I should use one. That's partially due to the fact that I actually paid attention to my class and figured out that pretty much every subclass has a way to get your abilities back faster. and smart use. People are used to leading into fights with an ability. Or winning a fight they were down in because of powers. They're not used to having to position tactically, retreat when they should, and smart ability usage. If people enjoy the older style of D1 then more power to them. But in my personal opinion aside from how supers are earned and the timing of when they come in pvp cooldowns feel right. considering we lack gear to make the cooldowns faster.

4 답변in regards to the cooldowns, i think lot of people have forgotten that the early reveal footage actaully had super, grenade and class ability cooldown reduction perks on armour, it seems like they left em out of the beta on purpose for testing reasons, spread the word cos everyone is losing their minds about cooldowns, and then when the final game releases with the armour cooldown perks activated, people will say bungie -blam!-ed up and changed their game because the community kicked up when in fact they have already been shown to be in the game agree on the wepaons static rolls but also interested to see how mods will play a part, the "info text" when you float your cursor above the slots says that mods will affect weapon stats, this could be the new thing to farm for rather than entire weapons, cautiously optimistic as usual though! good to see some constructive feed back though man 👌

1 답변I had a bout 3 pages of friends on the Destiny 2 beta the night of release, some are very good PvP'ers and not casuals at all. Yesterday hardly anyone on that list played the beta and were back on other games. I had more friends playing PvP in Destiny 1 last night. That is not at all close to the same experience during the beta for Destiny 1 and the PvP experience everyone I know had with it. So you're wrong.
