So, for PvP players, this beta will give you pretty much unlimited things to do. For PvE players, however, we are kind of getting shafted. There is 1 story mission and 1 strike. That is all.
In the Destiny 1 Beta, my friends and I spent tons of time in the Cosmodrome exploring and having fun. In this Beta, we plan to play tonight and then probably won't touch it again, because there won't be anything else to do.
I think it was an odd decision to not have at least part of a patrol zone available. I hope I'm wrong and the Beta is engaging, but as of now, it looks like I'll be done with it in 30 minutes or so.
Edit: I also want to point out that this isn't really going to alleviate concerns some people have with the size and scope of the game. You want us to know D2 is bigger than D1, but you give us a Beta that is smaller..

The whole point of a beta is for the developers to see what works and doesn't and to see how the servers are working under load. That what makes a beta different from a demo. I would rather have a small beta and be surprised when the full game comes out than have a big beta and have seen a large part of the game before it came out.

3 답변Dear Bungie, Your website accepted my Gamestop D2 preorder code and told me that I would be emailed an access code for the beta. Still nothing. PSN ID: Carpe_Pax . Gamestop preorder code F33-PJK-6JV, now invalid because your system accepted it and has not provided the access code. I'll probably cancel my preorder if you're not able to fix this today.

4 답변This game has been built with PvP in mind. From what I have seen though it is a bigger game featuring more missions and larger patrol areas. Seriously wait for the release before judging size and PvE. They are purposefully holding things back.

4 답변If only someone at Bungie had notified us what was going to be in the BETA and why prior to its release.

11 답변Yeap, but man... I like the new PvP... Feels good. Not ability based at all. Forced to use primaries... Love.

Yea, no patrol or loot system like the final release. If no one loads into my patrols or the cryptard turns my purples to green again in the final I'm gonna raise heck since we can't catch it in this beta like it is.

2 답변After having played the beta for Destiny 1, I find a lack of content or anything you do in the beta for Destiny 2 be highly disappointing. One strike and one story Mission, that's it? The crappy new double primary weapon Load-Out in every other weapon being pushed into the "power" slot makes all weapon loadouts for PVE completely ridiculous. And it's all for the sake of PVP. I can't wait to try to fight a boss like Atheon or Crota with only two Primary Weapons and everything else as power weapon, which you get limited ammo for. I played the living crap out of Destiny 1 for its entire lifespan, up until about a month-and-a-half ago. AOT was over, my clan is deserting left and right , so I decided to quit playing because there is nothing to do. If Destiny 2 can keep the content fresh and actually updated for PVE then we will play, but I'm not playing PVP over and over and over again. I am so tired of this PVP motivated mess up of PVE over and over. TLDR. The beta has only one story and one strike to do for PVE and I hope this is not indicative of the content coming for Destiny 2

4 답변I hope in the full game we get those optional scannable things in missions for lore that was introduced in TTK. That and I want our characters to talk.

3 답변Maybe they'll put in a little bit more before the end, like in the first one when you got to go to the moon on the last day of the beta

15 답변Why is everyone complaining about the weapons? I haven't played yet, but of course they haven't given us any good weapons yet right? It's just the beta. Am I missing something? Lol.

5 답변It was spelt out in 30 languanges exactly whag the beta would have. 1 mission, 1 strike, 1 control pvp and 1 new pvp mode. That is it. We gkt exactly what was promised.

Considering how the original beta for Destiny spoiled almost a full quarter of the pve game, story and everything, I'm glad for this. I'm also planning to not touch as much of the pve content in this beta as I can, for the sake of 'freshness'. Odds are, I'm gonna get sick of the inverted spire strike within a week or two of actual release, why speed that up now? :P

3 답변I wouldn't consider 2 PVP maps "unlimited" things to do though. i agree it isn't much to play, however, it's only a beta and only supposed to give us an idea of what the game will be like. Where as D1 the beta was a little too open and kinda spoiled us lol

3 답변Well size and scope I don't see being an issue. D1 was 40 GB at launch and I think around 54 or something now with all the DLC. D2 at launch will be 68 GB. I'm not sure what could be taking up all that space obviously but there is obviously more to this than the initial D1 release. Have a little faith. Hell. GTA is smaller than D2 file wise.

3 답변PvP just feels off. It's like they strip all good weapons off the game, strip down the recharge rates, strip down all special weapons and give everyone a bunch of white weapons. Killtime is much slower, supers are impossible to counter other than with another super or a lucky supressor nade, etc. Teamshooting basically is the only way to go...and that is awful for solo players.

5 답변I figured it was because of all the people glitchig into areas they weren't supposed to in the D1 beta. They're keeping a lot more under wraps this time.
