Great post mate well done. I'm day one and had destiny since it came with my white PS4 didn't know anything about it until it came home with my PS4 lol (9/9/2014) and I will admit it I can be hard on Destiny and have written some silly posts here and there and I'm sorry for all that. I do care about the game and enjoy it. I don't like playing it solo it suxs and isn't fun. Most fun I've had is in the raids and I have been casual since ttk but still put some time into it and I also have pre ordered destiny 2 I like the idea of more cutscenes and more story but still annoyed at some decisions again by bungie, streamlining of sub classes and weapon slots changing etc etc. but I do care and like the game and also again great post and sorry I have been hard on Destiny here and there :)

I'll admit that I play around a lot on this forum but when I see something worth having a conversation about, I'll take a different approach. A lot of the time conversations will start off wrong not because one or the other is right or wrong. It's because how one presents themselves in the beginning of any conversation. Look at me, it isn't really hard to make 1 or 2 small statements and anyone that feels they need to stand up for this company will be easily triggered. You want to know something really interesting? Yesterday someone made a reply to me in caps and said... [b]OMG! YOU SAID SOMETHING NICE.[/b] Of course I laughed :) but my reply back to them was, no one has ever asked me to. Now some might say they shouldn't have to and to an extent I will agree with that... Edit:[b]The interesting part about all this, people label people and since I was labeled it wasn't hard at all to keep playing that role. Thought to myself, well if I can't express my concerns without being jumped I might as well play the roll and get it across that way.[/b] Why should I stop expressing my concerns about the game I do like but not necessary the direction that it's heading. You guys that feel you need defend this company made a lot of the people like me how they present themselves on this forum. It's become more of free entertainment than anything else because with a lot of gamers if you're not positive about everything that you are saying, then you don't belong here. I'm sorry if I have offended certain People but other I'm not. This forum isn't Walgreens and neither is life... It's a forum where anyone should be able to express their concerns on how they see fit within reason. But by all means NO ONE should be attacked for expressing their concerns about the game or if they disagree with someone's view.

Nice point, well made. Of course you know at least half of the community won't appreciate it. I love and hate Destiny in equal measure. So much potential, so much wasted effort. A game that handles so well, so badly handled. I hope D2 can make up for a lot of what is wrong with D1. But I can't help but feel skeptical.

Shun a part of the community you say? Well then maybe they should reserve their criticism for when they have actually played the game. Bashing something you haven't played is stupid. There posts could also a little more meat on the bone. Like yours does. I'm so sick of seeing "destiny will suck (insert asinine reason) and done " with no explanation.

I honestly don't care if you hate this game, I really understand if you do, considering all the disappointments and let downs the game had. I do care, however, about the people who try to mock anyone and everyone who likes the game, and then tries to persuade the people who like it to have the ideology of Destiny being a quote-unquote 'bad game'. Not everyone has the same opinion, and some people like different gaming genres, saying the game sucks is an opinion, not a fact, saying the game is good is an opinion, not a fact. but people who are respectful when saying Destiny is 'a game I don't like', and then giving a good understandable reason as to why they don't like it, are the people I can respect. But calling it a 'bad game', and that's all you have to comment about the game... is heretical criticism. Saying 'it's bad' when replying to someone who likes Destiny, is not. An argument.

Can't agree with you at all,most of the "hate" posts are for complete nonsense,just a bunch of whinny 10 year olds not getting there way. I hate toyota,honda,nissan,kia,bmw,audi,mercedes,vw,and mini but I don't go to there forums and post it. Oh and I can say I hate those since I have to work/drive all makes and models at my job and those are the very worst vehicles to ever own,let alone work on.

You know the sad thing is for every comment your complaining about there's about a hundred more of the comments who put down people who try to be positive about the game. Your called a bungie dick sucker or one I just saw below me, your a bungie but kisser. Why? Because I see things i like in the sequel? Most of those posts also include an analysis of why they like what they see plus how it might not be has great has they make it out to be. Just my two cents.

The problem is when there is promise in someone in regards to genuine criticisms or concern they immediately lose it when you challenge them with simple reason. Reason that is formulated from logic not emotion, so there's nothing to argue after. Rather than admitting they might be a little too emotional or better yet thinking more deeply on what is bothering them on the subject they double down and it just escalates. It is annoying as all hell, and this is not exclusive to haters either. I will shun those people, and continue to give them a hard time. Which to most all reading this you will project and think I mean to insult or be a nitwit. This is not the case however. Regardless it is something they need to learn to grow out of, and there is really no other way out of it. As for you yourself, prove it with deeds not words. Slipping up, even of the smallest degree, will only make this post an empty attempt at appeal. If you are genuine then you do not want that.

Wtf are you talking about? By far the majority of people are bitching, and by far the majority of posts are bitching posts? To act like any substantial percentage of replies are supportive of destiny is either Blind or dishonest, and probably both. By the way, apply your own logic objectively. Where is your post telling this to those who respond to supportive posts with "you're wrong this game is trash and you need to conform to my opinion." And a majority of the counter arguments to criticism exist because the criticisms are made by stupid people with stupid ideas, attacking the wrong things with the game. There are actual problems and we're never going to have them fixed when all that bungie reads boils down to "nerf hand canons because I died for a second," "the sequel looks like the thing it iterates on" (I still have an aneurysm every time I read that unintelligent drivel), and 90% of the stupidity that is posted here.

Destiny 2 is going to be great. It's going to be a good second half of the year for gaming. I'm going to have to find time to play Destiny 2, Mario Odyssey, SNES mini (unbelievably got a pre-order in), crash remake, and (fingers crossed extremely tightly) the Shenmue Remakes which are Rumoured. I just can't wait to hurl those warlock blade beams/climhazzards...(i'll leave you to tell me what I'm referencing).

Period.[/b] The "heat" those who are critical of D2 are feeling is the natural/organic backlash to how hyperbolic this forum has become. Those who are tired of all the endless negativity have started responding back. Basically, the forum trolls have escalated the situation. My biggest criticism with the "criticism" on the Bungie forums (versus other Destiny Communities) is that more often than not it is far from[i][b] constructive[/b][/i]. It's almost always emotionally-driven. Based on an unhealthy dose of speculation, assumptions, lack of information and demonization of any element that is not completely understood. This place, by and large, is an echo chamber of confirmation bias for people who just want to troll or want to perpetually live in a state of "outrage culture". The second you try to call it what it is, staunch naysayers retort back with insults, name calling and the same broken-record rhetoric they have been parroting since vanilla.
