Everyone* already owns a PS4 so the XboX is going to have far more potential buyers then the Pro ever could.
Think about it.
If you already own a ps4 then getting a pro is a big decision. You can't just sell your ps4 cuz not every game will be 4k capable and when you do decide to sell it you won't exactly get a good return on investment. This can complicate things quite a bit for particular gamers.
And since Ps4 has been outselling XB1 by a fair margin that means there are fewer XB1s in the hands of gamers. So picking up the XboX is a far easier decision for far more people. They will get a bigger upgrade along with access to a new library of exclusives without worrying about the previous system overlap.
Just a thought.
Disclaimer: I've herd all the other reasons facts etc. This is just something I thought about on the spot that I hadn't heard anyone else talk about.
Update: My posts typically don't blow up this quickly so I haven't been able to respond to everyone like I normally would. My apologies to those who speak with me on a regular basis. I'll get around to it if/when I can.

1 답변I normally hate the pc elitists but I have to agree with them on this topic. If you are concerned about the power of the console then why not just get a PC? I understand if you have friends on that system but if you just want better specs why not just build your own PC?

Well that is not neccesary a wrong conclusion but I feel that those gamers are just as likely to buy a cheaper S instead. I know I would have bought an S if I did not already own an XBone. And even though the stats are impresive I do not see a reason to buy an X.....yet.

1 답변Why do people keep calling consoles an investment? Do you know what an investment is? An investment would be like building a pc for 500$ and selling it for 700$ (which I've done before).

4 답변작성자: DeusFever 6/26/2017 12:24:26 PMMmmm, no. If you couldn't afford to upgrade to a PS4 or Xbox One, you can't afford to spend $500 on an Xbox One X. you also probably don't have a 4k TV to make it worthwhile. Instead Microsoft and Sony are pushing their cheaper consoles which now sell for about $250. This is the sweet spot for most consumers because most consumers are broke.

2 답변Was this not an obvious marketing point from the beginning? They will have the best console for third party games (the majority of games in the industry). People who don't have an Xbox One (majority of consumers) will look at it as a perfect console for third party games while they use their PS4 for first party assuming there aren't other aspects involved like friends.

9 답변작성자: LahDsai 6/24/2017 6:50:14 AMYou're forgetting that swaping consoles cuts you off from your previously established library, achievements/trophies, and social networks (clans, for instance). There's a reason for brand loyalty and a large part of that is a common ecosystem. The only real reason to go with the opposite half-gen iteration (Pro or X) is to have access to exclusives. If you're not interested in exclusives or you don't feel they're worth abandoning your current ecosystem, people are more likely to upgrade and sell their old console than get a second one.

3 답변If you do buy a 4ktv here is what I have to say about it. Not all 4ktvs are created equal. You need the right 4ktv at that. Those ones that went on sale Black Friday last year for $400-$600 did not have -wide color gamut -hdr10 minimum or 10 bit panel - and low input lag - time it takes for your input to register because as TV quality gets better so does the input lag increase, mine has one of lowest input lag at 20ms I believe which is great for multiplayer shooters. I saw a lot of people buying them though but I did my research and didn't waste my money on 6250 or 6300series Samsung or a cheap Sony that said HDR but wasn't really HDR and instead got Samsung ks8000 which is Miles ahead. Oh sure the 6 series was a nice tv for that price range but if you get a 4ktv that will last you years might as well spend the money and get good one, one with low input lag, is important if you play any online shooters. Otherwise you basically have an slightly update 1080 panel with Upscaled resolution and noticeable difference in quality and performance. Oh sure it says 4k and some may say HDR but side by side you can clearly see which TV has the true wide color gamut and hdr 10. And my TV is by no means the best but it is a great tv and will last me years without having to upgrade. I got it at a good price too $899 on Black Friday last year, I had to fight for it too because three other people wanted that same TV when I got there. I love my Ks8000 the technology in that thing is as good as anything. Now they have the LG Oled but I heard many of those have high input lag and Samsung Qled are so expensive. Not worth the money considering that cost of newest model is exponentially higher. A guy that was standing in line with me bought the same basic TV as one I had for $7000 just a year ago only difference is his tv was 65 inches and curved and mine was flat 55". And I got mine for $899 like I said. Anyways tldr and I hope you learned something

Valid point. In my case, however, as a PS4 user, I can't play all the games I already have. I have pretty much stuck to Destiny, and Witcher 3, with the occasional foray into Skyrim. Plus, I have no immediate plans to buy a 4k TV. I pretty much just watch news and sports (I'm an old fogie.)

3 답변I think what the ppl whom mention 'not everyone has a 4K Tv' is forgetting is that in place of the PS pro the X1X had the advantage of also making 1080p games look better, load faster and adds HDR.

When I had first heard about Scorpio it got the gears in my head turning. "For what I'm gonna spend on gaming over the next couple years, I could probably build a PC and be better off in the long run. Might be time to embrace the new overlords..." Now that we have finer details, Scorpio basically being a gimped PC, the decision was vindicated to an extent. And I still think that the windows store is hot garbage but... the fact that some Xbox games are going to be available might be nice. Maybe. If they're optimized well enough... To reinforce, optimization is hypothetical.

1 답변Lol my poor ass is stuck with a normal Xbone. For me the decision to get a new console is when they stop making games for the one I have

2 답변But if people don't already have 2 consoles, with them being as cheap as they are, I doubt that many outside of the hardcore would spend that much much for 1 console. I think the XboX will get attention but the XboS will the sales.

5 답변작성자: Unforgiven 6/23/2017 3:57:30 AMPS4 Pro is also 4k capable. Checkerboard rendering on Horizon and upscaling techniques used in Uncharted 4 look as good as anything on PC right now or better. So to the people talking shit, come over to my house and I will prove it. And there is another argument against yours. In fact if you own a large library of games, going PS4 Pro is smarter decision as many games came out with optimized patches that enchance your experience. Imagine having to rebuy entire library of games on Xbox One X, that would be a hefty investment even if you don't count the cost of console itself which is fairly decent at $500. I have a huge gaming Library on PS4. Most of the games are bought digitally during sales like Black Friday or E3 sale. Then when I want to play them I just go to console of choice and download them. Why is there even a need for me to switch to console to get slightly better graphics. They aren't even 60fps other than Forza and a few others. I gave my PS4 to my lady and at my house I keep PS4 Pro. That way I will never get bored if I am over there and she is sleeping. Anytime I need I just download a game from my library and set her console on sleep mode. Next time I am there I have a game fully ready to play. Switching to Xbox One X wouldn't make logical sense to me. I also own a gaming PC and yet all I do is mostly play on PS4. Why? Social features are built in PS4. I don't need to join any groups to find players. They are already on my friend list. Why switch?

5 답변Think the people who already owned a 4k tv and wanted to get the latest console already got the Pro

9 답변Seeing that Sony has advertising rights to Destiny and you never hear about Destiny on Xbox. Would people on Ps pro be pissed if D2 did come out 4K and 60 fps on the 1X.

11 답변Don't you have to buy a 4K tv as well in order to take full advantage of the X? To the average consumer, to buy both a new tv & system seems like a expensive investment. Does the average consumer even care about high-end graphics? Will they understand the differences between the Pro & X? As cool as the X seems, I don't believe it's going to sell well to the average consumer/gamer.
