New Arcstrider Gameplay, thoughs, opinions and discussion
So here is some of the long waited for Arcstrider Hunter gameplay. I know it doesn't show the subclass tree but we can finally get a sense of how it acts.
Compared to bladedancer it seems to move faster, have more range than the blade, lunge a bit further and has more range. Also you flip around while attacking which is dope.
I think this is a defenite improvement from Bladedancer and it will definitely get a lot more usage than it's ancestor.
What do you guys think about the Arcstrider so far?
I like that it has range, but all the animations are slower, no blink, and the dodge is slow as well. The super looks great but functionally overall arcstrider is a downgrade. The fastest possible movement toward someone or dodging is to simply run - so getting gunned down during super will be much more apparent. I would much rather that the super lasted shorter, but we had our tools back to close gaps faster (blink), and that the animations were faster so that people can't just run away.
Compare this to Sentinel - shield animations are faster, and they can throw their shield which has some tracking as well, and can R2 to block damage. On top of that - they have the option to pop shield or ward of dawn. Arcstriders definitely have the shaft - pun intended.
