theres a great saiyaman- i mean, theres a great SAYING that applies here: if it aint broke, dont fix it.

oh yes, i can NOT compare two shoot n loot mmo ish rpg games to each other because one is 1st person and the other is 3rd. yup, because its newer is why diblision died, and NOT because it had no engaging endgame, nor an intriguing story either. yup, by pointing out obvious facts im just slurping that superior bungo D.
-
female dog please. im one of the few that would rate Overhype honestly; a 6.8/10. has some fun and different characters to play, each of which that does fulfill their respective roles, but its $60 for half a game, it has a garbage greedy microtransaction system, and its core shooter mechanics are so sub-par that it really shows how inexperienced blizzard is in the shooter genre. i got destiny some time after release, when the demo came out, and i LOVED it! i played the SHIT out of that demo and bought Destiny during black friday, when my collage budget allowed for a single game. and, well, here i am, nearing the 3 years mark. and its not on a name alone.

vanilla destiny had plenty of story, it just wasnt crammed into everybodys facehole; if you wanted to learn more about the world, you had to actually look for it. Cayde was always the rapscalion he was and Zavala was always a stoic but humble bad arse, but instead of focused cinematics you got simple little quips from each if you bothered to listen. "Traveler, awaken and tell me, have done right?" "psst, hey guardian, take me with you!" i bring up diblisions story because that was a major selling point, and it had some cutscenes trying to tell it, but thats all it did: TELL you about the story. so-n-so is a griffy hard ass whos a genius with tech, but underneath he has a heart of gold! it all started on a monday.... BORING!! Ikora Rey? shes that enigmatic warlock boss lady, right? oh, while restoring her old shotgun you hear she used to be a trouble maker? "ikora, usual bet, ishtar sink, big vex baddy, you in?" -cayde. "i dont care what they say, ikora rey is a magical terrorist!" -awoken guard point is, even in vanilla, destiny had oodles of story, but once again, if you werent so busy hitting crtl+c, crtl+p on opinions you'd be able to tell for yourself.
-
it had about as many cutscenes as most any other game. what it REALLY lacked was EXPOSITION, which is the lamest way to tell a story, but as you've repeatedly demonstrated, you need to be told what to think. hey, why dont you just copy/paste ME instead? you'd look significantly smarter if you did.
-
I don't need to be told anything, I hold my own opinion about the game and clearly see the flaws while you defend it regardless of how much you've been robbed of content. Never tell me the game has as many cutscenes as any other games, you clearly don't play too many other games.
-
yeah right, its your own opinions formed by supporting evidence. so why have all of your replies been one or two lines of the same tired bull? meanwhilee im pointing out plenty of examples to back all of my claims. robbed of content? see, thats EXACTLY the tired bs regurgitated by parrots like you do. i can play EVERYTHING found in Y1 at any point because its all still there. Skolas' revenge? loads up perfectly fine. i even still get LoW or other PoE gear too after completion. to be robbed means what i had is now gone. nothing of the sort can be said about Destinys content. and once again, your claim came with NOTHING to support it. copy a better opinion.
-
I meant robbed by paying too much for too less idiot. There's plenty of content that should have been in the game in the first place, of course you can still play stuff from year 1, why would they ever take it away? You obviously don't hold your own opinion since I've already met a lot of suck ups like you.
-
when you change the definition of something to be wrong, then sure, IM the idiot, ok. yeah calling me a suck up is pretty much all you can do, with nothing to back it up either. "destiny is a bad game, which has lasted for 3 years now for inexplicable reasons."
-
I'm calling you a suck up because you think the game has little to no flaws. I never stated Destiny to be a bad game, it's comfortable with controls and creative with characters and weapons. Its the constant nerfing, patches, and unfixed glitches that brings me down to not enjoy it as much. Its enjoyable, calling it good would be a stretch but I would never call the game great or anything beyond that.
-
FINALLY! it took you EIGHT posts to do it, but you FINALLY backed a claim with something! all you've said before is "its broken", "it sucks", "its flawed" but not a single word explaining why you think that. congratulations, how does it feel to have a mind of your own? but im still going to pick your argument apart because it is as flawed as you imagine destiny to be. firstly: why do you think i dont recognize its flaws? sure, i never said anything about them, but the subject never came up, it was just "destiny has no story" so i focused on that. yes, there are some bugs that have persisted, but they're not game breaking by any means, and often times difficult to reproduce. otherwise, though, Bungie has addressed many bugs so far, leaving the final product (destiny as it currently is) very well made. constant nerfing? no, not exclusively nerfing. more nerfing than buffing? sure, im inclined to agree, but when you have a player-versus-player game change its mechanics to create a better environment for all, its called BALANCING. and a blanced game is better than an imbalanced one. does everybody agree with the balances? in what game do they ever? but in the end, meta after meta, it has become MUCH better than it was before. but tell me, how is something enjoyable, but not good? if you enjoy ice-cream then isnt it good? if you enjoy a movie than isnt it good? if you enjoyed the game, then it is a good game, by virtue of your own standards (unless your going to change the definition of words to be wrong again).
-
I'm using definitions correctly, I have no idea what planet you live on. What mechanics have been changed in PvP? Certain weapons get used more than others because the last popular set now suck compared to others because of nerfing. You're not exactly forced to use the new set of weapons but why would you use anything that isn't as good? I will correct myself, the PvE side of the game is okay and enjoyable, PvP is just constant garbage and twenty percent usage of actual primaries.
-
so then how is a game that runs fine, is thoroughly enjoyed by its player base, and has lasted THREE YEARS broken? how is something by your own admition enjoyable, but not good? how is nothing being taken robbery? i live on planet Earth, its the only confirmed hospitable planet, not sure how this obvious fact evades you, but you dont use words correctly so i guess a lot of knowledge escapes you.
-
Fine, it's enjoyable and okay. PvP servers and connection issues are still a huge mess, ive seen full green bars lag everywhere, headshots that don't do anything, grenades disappear after being thrown, tethers disappear after being fired as well. I've even seen someone have a full super in the first 10 seconds in the first elimination round. Dude had no kills of course or anything. Most people have mixed feelings about the game such as I do. Its not a bad game, it's just that it has so much more capability and most people don't understand how the game has come to its current state considering it's created by the people who created Halo. What's funny is that one of the best things about the game is its music. Can't bash that..

PVP relies on player to player connections or something rather, and since D1 is pretty much done, its total playerbase pool is on the decline, resulting in more taxing widespread geographical assembly for game lobbies, pushing connections into laggier turf, or something like that. new system should hopefully solve most all the PVP lag issues, but those are omnipresent so sad face. also that instant super could be the level up exploit, where you go into crucible with oodles of bounties, while on the cusp of leveling up, and then you turn in said bounties to level up and become supercharged.
