How do you know if you just got ddos'd? I highly suspect that this was the case on Saturday. One game, we were steamrolling a team 2-0 (at this point in the match, I was 4.0kd and our sniper was 3.0kd) and then at the end of the second round our sniper starts getting "contacting destiny servers" was kicked from game, then kicked from party chat a few seconds later. The two of us thought it was just bad luck - but he NEVER has anything but a solid green connection, and never disconnects EVER. We 2v3'd them and won the third round so now we're 3-0 and won, but then lost heavy round, so we were 3-1. Then next round, we have killed two and the control point is spawning - I get "contacting destiny servers" and my shots aren't connecting as we team shot the third guy and I die. Then I get kicked from party chat as well. And then I have to sit for a while as my router resets. When I get back on, we regroup in party chat and go get a new trials card - then both of us that got kicked also received hate mail from the sunsinger alluding to somehow kicking us offline. The reason I think it was a ddos or network packet manipulation of some sort is from the hate mail I received post game alluding to the fact that he kicked us. Additionally, I looked up the guy who messaged me - and his win/loss /elo doesn't make sense at all - like it looks like he's been winning through kicking people from game. He has mediocre elo in every mode BUT trials, and trials wins go something like this: 7 wins, 3 losses very negative kd. 7 more wins, 3 losses very negative kd / repeat. It's like he intentionally loses three games to make his elo or something settle and not look suspicious. Is it ok to post up a video for posterity? And what should I do about this?
