The left continues to drag the rest of our country down the toilet with its insane policies.
Zachary Bowlin, a 7th grade student at Edgewood middle school, was suspended for 10 days after he 'liked' an Instagram post of an airsoft gun.
'I liked it, scrolling down Instagram at night about 7, 8 o'clock I liked it,' Zachary told WXIX. 'The next morning they called me down (to the office) patted me down and checked me for weapons.'
He told WCMH, 'I don't think I did anything wrong... Then, they told me I was getting expelled or suspended or whatever.'
The schools trembling superintendent , who no doubt sounds like Principal McVicker from Beavis and Butthead, informed his traumatized students and staff that under his leadership they were safe from middle schoolers liking toy guns:
'"The Board has a 'zero tolerance' of violent, disruptive, harassing, intimidating, bullying, or any other inappropriate behavior by its students."
'Furthermore, the policy states: "Students are also subject to discipline as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct that occurs off school property when the misbehavior adversely affects the educational process."
But not to worry folks....in rare patches of land this is still America and Zachary's parents raised a "shit storm" and got plenty of support when they showed just how ridiculous our schools have become.
As s result the commies backed down and freedom took the hill. Zachary won't be reprimanded and this horribly dangerous and violent incident so t appear on his permanent record.

작성자: Boggy 5/12/2017 7:18:41 AMI've got no problem with airsoft guns, I'm leaning towards getting into the sport myself. My problem is the people dressing up as our guys and putting their own names and medals on their uniforms. These people blur their faces in their ig posts to hide how ugly and sad they are, not because someone would hunt them down if they didn't blur it.

4 답변How is it legal for them to punish a kid for shit that happened off school property? This reminds me of one of my religious schools that threatened to punish us if we went to an R-rated movie.

4 답변Well...that's silly. The line "A world gone soft" comes to mind, quite honestly. On a semi related note, it's amazing just how often someone ends up judged, reprimanded, passed over or fired over simple details collected by social media. Many employers will search for you on sites like Facebook and Twitter before ever looking into the claims and references on someone's resume. No doubt schools do so as well. Be mindful of such things.

14 답변작성자: Sainyule 5/10/2017 7:08:41 AMSome points to address in this situation are: >Most school shooters tell someone that they're going to do it. Be it a phone call, a Facebook post, Reddit thread, 4chan, etc. They often tell someone that they're going to do something, or post a picture of their weapon. How many kids post on Facebook that they're going to kick someone's ass or post a fight off school property of fighting someone? Someone being concerned for their safety or someone else's could've reported this to a superintendent and the people who liked the post thinking they might be in on the possible shooting as well. >Liking it to promote violence does sound silly and over the top but it is justified to a point. Your friend posts "I'm going to kick Brian's ass tomorrow" and you liking it but not telling him to stop is wrong. You don't technically promote the violence, but you let it happen, you do not intervene in anyway. Did you like that status to support your friend (supporting)? Did you like that status cause Brian is a dumbass who needs his ass kicked (promoting)? Or did you just like it just to let people know you saw it already (Social idea where being updated makes you in the now and more relatable, and how great it is to break the news to someone)? Liking is not promoting it's just not interfering with the violence or speaking up. >The Instagram post is BEYOND incredibly vague. It's just a picture of a gun (will elaborate on the next point) with the comment "ready" under it. What is he ready for is thrown into the air. It is a handgun obviously. Their small size allows it to be hidden so he can take it on a bus or fit it in a backpack without bringing suspicion. It's good for close range, has a reasonably sized clip, and can get job done. >Every airsoft weapon has an orange tip to indicate they are airsoft weapons according to federal law.
However, federal importation laws in the United States simply require that all Airsoft gunstransported within or imported into the countryhave barrels with a minimum 6mm wide blazeorange tip, so as to avoid confusion with real firearms.
This weapon is missing it's orange tip. I guess to make the kid feel the gun is more realistic, but to an untrained eye makes it look like a real weapon. Which, as mentioned before, can lead to the report, a screenshot of the post, and the superintendent looking for that orange tip and not seeing it. Being the student reported the school system has to take action, if this is reported and they were like "That's just an airsoft gun" and they were wrong, the heat they would get. People would be losing their jobs. >Of course this photo could be saying just say "ready" as a fun post like a meme but there are other ways to make a funny post, such as spaghetti in the shape of a gun. If the student was making a joke, it was poorly executed. If he wasn't making a joke but simply saying he was ready for an airsoft game with friends, why didn't he elaborate? Which draws me to the conclusion he was just making a quick fun joke. No harm intended. Overall, do I think the school overreacted much? Of course they did. 10 day suspension for liking a post? Poor choice of punishment. But by his age, it's middle school, and I don't know about you guys but many middle schools use the "They're going through puberty so they're acting out and we have to punish them" idea to justify their actions. It's good to hear the student had their suspension removed. The actions taken should've been executed better, such as consoling, and discussing what is going on. But I can only make one proposed theory. While the punishment seems harsh, if the student has been previously in trouble (multiple occasions) before, it could explain the action taken. More crime, more severe punishment idea? Yet i still believe the actions taken were poorly executed by the adults in this situation.
And before you say it >no I'm not obsessed with you, it's a topic that I can discuss with other users and you're the only person who posted it, calm down >no the left have nothing to do with it, this is just a school safety concern that has many questionable topics that if not left addressed in an open minded manner can build someone bias in some way or another cause boy does it make people mad when something happens they don't like and are too heated to think besides what they're told
Oh but nobody cares about this, let's talk about transgender bathrooms and airsoft guns.
