Definitely Saint-14. - Best Titan Exotic (in both visual design and functionality) - Saint-14 is closely tied to the Speaker as what seems to be a personal agent (also, Speaker refers to Saint-14 as "my son" for some unknown reason) - Saint-14 is also closely acquainted with Osiris (probably as an old war buddy). The last we hear of Saint-14 is of him setting off for Mercury (presumably in search of Osiris) against the orders of The Speaker. - He killed the Kell of Devils with a HEAD-BUTT to the face. I REALLY hope we get to see Saint-14 and other notable figures (Toland, Osiris, Kabr, etc.) in-game in the future!

Mine would have to be Eversion Day In verse 4:11, Calcified Fragment XLI of the Book of Sorrows, titled Dreadnaught, it speaks of the making of Oryx's great star-faring throne. To create it, all of the Hive on the Dreadnaught worked together to flip Oryx's throne realm inside out so it would fill the Dreadnaught. This day became a holiday known as Eversion Day, and the Hive celebrate it by turning things inside out This is one of the most interesting, funniest, and scariest stories in Destiny's lore. Everyone make sure you don't leave the safety of the City on Eversion Day, you could see some really gruesome things out there

House of Kings The Awoken Grimoire: Fallen 4. Grimoire: Darkness 3. Thunderlord flavor text: "They rest quiet on fields afar...for this is no ending, but the eye." Ruin Wings flavor text: "In the Garden grows a tree of silver wings. The leaves are Ruin, the bark disaster. Of the seeds we do not speak." Purifier Robes flavor text: "Fire is the breaking of bonds. Fire is freedom. We must be swift and thorough in our liberation." Those are my main favorites, but the Books of Sorrow are pretty high up there as well.

I don't know the lore, because it isn't in-game where it belongs. - Person who refuses to use the app or a PC to read it.

Easy ghost fragment Exo stranger, This to me is the height of destiny lore and shows me just how much thought went into the little things of this game. It's the reason the game is called destiny and it proved that they are multiple timelines in destiny and they might be cyclical. This card allowed the lore community to make so many correct theories and it got me into lore. It also made grinding when that was still necessary in destiny a lot more fun knowing that there was lore behind repeating a mission over and over again lol

The Vex cards, telling the story of Maya Sundaresh, her team, how they got simulated, rescued by Rasputin (?), then launched hundreds of copies of their simulated selves to explore the Vex gate network. Fascinating stuff. The stories of Rezzil /Dredgen Yor, Thorn, Shin Malphur and the Last Word. That tale alone deserves it's own movie. Cayde googling himself and Shaxx training the dodgeball kids. Nuff said.

I like every bit of the Hive lore. (I'm sick of hive now just because we've been beaten over the head with them). But man their lore is so much deeper and crazy than I thought they would be. I thought the Hive were just gonna be something like your typical insect/colony type enemy that used horde tactics and just overran planets for their resources. Glad I was wrong, and you're right there's this mythology to the lore, especially the Hive, that gives off this Great Old One sort of Lovecraftian mystery vibe. For some reason, I remember Super Good Advice's grimoire. One of the guardians that went into the Vault (can't remember which one) grew paranoid of the Gorgons. Basically, the gorgons have the ability to just unwrite your existence from all timelines. This made the guardian paranoid about being alone, that any being could just erase any evidence of you from all sources. So Super Good Advice was given like Smart Bullet technology and had a personality of it's own to keep the crazed guardian company. And he felt comfortable knowing the weapon could always know of his existence, or something like that. I dunno why but I always loved that bit about being paranoid like that after encountering the Gorgons. Like if you had to picture two guardians sitting at the bar talking about going into the Vault again: [spoiler]"I don't know what you're so afraid of," Nidir said. "We're just gaining knowledge about the Vault. Ikora seems confident that we'll find what we're looking for. Atheon was defeated. The forces in the Vault are nothing more than a scattered force of disconnected frames shambling about in the dark." Arden studied the warlock and sighed. "Uh huh." He pointed to the bar. "Do you see that guardian over there?" Arden said. "The exo titan talking to himself?" Nidir followed his gaze. There was in fact a huge heavily armored titan seated against the wall at the bar. The guardian's metallic mouth was moving, the lighting in his pivotal housing was blinking as though he were indeed talking, and yet Nidir saw no one else around. "That's Formis-9," the hunter told Nidir. "He was apart of the raid team that braved the depths of time to kill Atheon nearly three years ago. He was arguably one of the wisest warriors and most tactical Defenders I've ever heard of." Nidir studied the titan. The way he erratically waved his hands at the unseen person with whom he argued did not make him appear wise at all. She watched as he rubbed his metallic head in frustration of an invisible situation. Arden went on. "Formis-9 was one of the three surviving guardians to return from the Vault of Glass. The others are lost in time or dead. No one truly knows. I know that's not in the fairy tales you'll hear at the tower. "That man watched a Gorgon deconstruct a guardian that no one seems to remember, right in front of him. Everyone says her name was Livia-6. That's just a placeholder name, because she is the sixth member of that team that no one can recall. She or he is gone." Nidir stared at Arden. She was shocked to hear the true story of the legendary Livia-6. "Formis," Arden continued, " was pulled through time so many times in the battle with Atheon, that he doesn't even rightly know what timeline he is in anymore. His mind is seeing things that were, or that will be. We can't be sure." Nidir shivered staring at the once hero titan. "Don't you get it?" Arden said. "Formis is mad. He's an exo, the mechanical reimagining of a human being, and he was driven mad. Whatever still lurks down in the depths of Atheon's lair is far from neutralized. And you are far from safe." Arden finished his drink and stood, but Nidir looked up at him as he added, "How do you think your mind will fare down there? You'd better make peace with the idea that the real you might not return at all." Nidir stared at Formis-9. The twisting feeling in her gut made her wonder if she was making the right decision to go with Ikora's group into the depths after all.[/spoiler]

Bladedancer lore because it contains Bladedancers. I also love stuff with NTTE, Vex, Kabr, Gorgons, Praedyth, etc. It's just so cool and interesting.

My favorite is the legacy of Oryx. You find the fragments, and then practically ascend him. You understand him, he still leaves his stain on the system. The guy is just so badass and the wormfood card is always a nice read. Long Live The King.
