Aksis challenge confusion
Ok
I know many of you are already aware of this, but whenever I run with rando's from the 100 or lfg's, people are still convinced that you need to let Aksis go all the way to phase 3 of teleporting ( during any round ) to complete the challenge and send him to final stand.
Not the case at all.
As long as you charge the Super plate and slam him for every teleport, it doesn't matter when he goes to final stand. Even if it's the very first teleport.
You do not have to carry his sliver of health through 2 extra teleports and not do damage on him.
Just some fyi for people who may not be aware.
As long as you slam both every time, it doesn't matter when he goes to final stand, as long as you kill him, you will complete the challenge.
BTW - there was an article posted recently that suggested otherwise. It has since been debunked 1,000 times over.
Edit: yes. There is a glitchy instance in which he'll glitch to one side for a split second before going to the middle , etc. it doesn't happen often, but if it does, you will fail the challenge. If your group fails it otherwise, it's not because you sent him to final stand during 1st or second slam.

Just want to point out that this was just a post based on some info. There's an article floating about and we ( and plenty of other fireteams) found that this wasn't correct, so I was just passing the word along.
Of course- you may think doing it another way is better or safer. That's awesome. I feel everyone should do what's comfortable for them 100%.

FFS people how hard is it to follow the simplest of instructions? "Stand on construction stripe next to pillar. Look forward, if he doesn't spawn on your side immediately turn around and slam the plate." The challenge is that simple!..."look forward, if he's not on your side turn around and hold square" It's not exactly rocket science.

3 답변So the other day I did the raid. At Vosik, we were doing the challenge. His health was low on the second damage phase so we decided to just go for it and kill him. We killed him in Siva critical but didn't complete the challenge apparently. Do you HAVE to throw those bombs in the safe rooms before killing him? (We DID do it after the first damage phase but not the second because we killed him instead)

It's safer to wait until the second teleport than to try to send him back to middle on the first, if you screw it up and have any type of lingering damage applied before the slams which causes him to teleport to the middle you will fail the challenge. 3 teleports I totally agree are unnecessary but I would always recommend waiting until the second teleport to do damage if you go into a 3rd round just to play it safe.

6 답변What is screwing it up is sending him to final faze without getting the plate just before. People shoot at him just as he appears sends him into final faze and plate not slammed is what is causing the failed completion

16 답변Only thing I'm confused about is when do I know what plate to use? I know it glows but is there a way to know beforehand? Think about this. Once he starts to teleport, you get a few seconds to slam him. You get the same amount of time to find a plate. Axis teleports pretty fast so making sure where he is, is important, and if you aren't careful, you'll miss him and wipe. There are only 3 empowered at a time. We need to stand in areas to make sure we slam him if he's on our side. I need to make sure that axis is on my side, once he is/or isn't, I need to find the plate. By the time I find it (literally 3 seconds later) it's too late. I'm Titan skating as fast as I can and I can't make it to a plate fast enough? Is there a way to tell beforehand where the plate is because this is freaking impossible. My reaction speed isn't god tier so if they expect that from me then unfortunately I can't deliver.

1 답변Did it this week. Doesnt matter when plate is slammed as long as it supercharges guardians. The glitch comes into play with about 5% of aksis health. Good idea is if your doing alot of dps. Just stop short of the 5% to ensure he teleports to another plate instead of his final stand.

8 답변My team and I do carries, it happened countless times, so we just let him do all three, we normally 2 phase him so rarely a factor, but they have fixed it now, so no need to wait.

2 답변Oh boy. First we've got people saying certain rockets are better than dark drinker. Now we've got more misinformation about an admittedly really stupid glitch. Is it intended that challenge is void if you send him to last stand if he only teleports twice? I don't think so. Unfortunately that's the way it is. Where is this new rumor coming from anyway?

1 답변Him going to middle isn't a glitch. It's following the mechanics of the fight. You can damage him while he is teleporting. I can shoot a cannon at him while he's teleporting and the cannon shot actually goes with him on his teleport. Also, people tend to shoot aksis before any slams his back or a plate. It's just bad timing in DPS.

15 답변In order to complete the challenge do we have to supercharge before slamming him? Or as long as we slam on both. My clan & I tried it for 5 hours because the "Alpha" kept wanting to wipe because we'd supercharge after slamming him. Someone clarify for me please!

I can confirm this. Did it twice this week this way. I've always been confused when people want to wait. I'm fine with superstition though. Sometimes it's better to be safe, if not only for your own precious little mind.

Yeah, it always frustrated me whenever I was in an lfg challenge mode and they all started screaming about not shooting him. Not my raid so I didn't argue, but my regular group never held off on the dps. Until, that was, we failed challenge mode because Aksis teleported right, then instantly teleported back to mid for his last stand before giving anyone enough time to get the discharge/stun. So while we know we don't have to wait, we often do because -blam!- this stupid game and it's oftentimes dumb mechanics. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Yesterday, we got him so weak, but didn't get him into final stand and had to do another phase. The Siva charge that broke his shield was enough to throw him into final stand and ended up making him teleport twice really quickly. He ended up going into final stand in the bottom middle where the reward chest spawns instead of on his platform.
