The thing now is that since there is no special everyone is using the same damn guns and the same load outs! Sure people did that also pre special nerf but the thing is it didn't matter people usual had there shotties out when they turned corners or when they pushed forward and you could easily get shots off with less usable guns. It was possible to actually use other weapons! To heck with it I used two blue Omolon and Hakke (whatever the name is) handcannona before patch. There was more diversity back then when it game to primaries because the crappy primaries worked! Now I see the same guns! Palindrome, Luna, Trials pulse, that really good Vanguard pulse, And at time hawk moon! Nothing else! Have you tried not using the meta! The only game mode that you probably could use it in was rift. Rift is probably the best game mode if your trying to snipe or use different meta guns.
