Buy the Slim or Pro
I've always been on Xbox since the original. But lately PS has been coming out with some damn good exclusives.
I want a PS4 but I don't own a 4K TV YET... so I was leaning towards the slim.
BUT I hear of games like Days Gone, and death stranding to feature enhanced modes. So I'm in a bit of a predicament on whether I should get the slim now or kinda future proof myself with a pro.. idk how big the differences are.
Any thoughts or experiences with either console would help :)

It tells the differences in what a ps4 pro can do for each game so you can look at the ones that interest you or looks at a wide scope of what the console can do.

Scorpio comes out later this year, but if you don't have a PS4 and you want something now get the Pro. Not really worth the upgrade if you already own a PS4, IMO, but for entry it's pretty good. I still went with the regular PS4 though. Don't really care enough about slightly better graphics for the extra $150 it costs.

1 답변You don't need a 4k TV for the Pro. There are games with Pro patches that'll let you play in 4k HDR buut if you don't have that TV, it'll either play 1080 with ultra graphics settings OR just be a higher resolution downsampled to your tvs resolution (resulting in sharper picture) The most common feature is Boost Mode, which is a flat out performance increase across your whole gaming library (games that don't have patches.) It's worth it sure! Alot of games are capped at say 60fps? BF1s multiplayer for example, regular PS4 dips under that alot, (30-40fps), the Pros consitantly hitting that 60fps cap even under strain. If you don't have a PS get the Pro, if in the future you ever feel like investing in VR, you'll need the Pro anyway.

Get the pro don't need a 4K tv. Had a normal PS4 when I first got ARK, game looked like shit and was glitchy as hell.... got the PRO, ARK looked at 1000% times better and was way less glitchy. Ark is still a crap game but with that experience I felt justified that I bought a PRO.
