Everything is stored as digital code into our Guardian's Ghost. Our equipment, our ships, even our respawns. So, why couldn't there be an implementing of a Transmogrification system? It would eliminate space in our Vaults by storing the images in a specialized kiosk or other, new storage system. Perhaps Xur could do it for Motes or Coins? Maybe we won't have the items available to use, but with this system, we could have it all available as an overlay to new items. Clarification Edit: I didn't mean buy the item again to take up inventory. What I mean is if you like the stats on one item, but think a different item is aesthetically better looking, change the appearance of Item A to look like Item B. That way you keep the stats, and have a better looking item.
