Nightfalls actually used to be challenging. When your fire team wiped, you'd get returned to orbit and would have to retry. I remember doing my first nightfall and I was sweating like crazy. In this regard, also increase the drop of GOOD gear and get rid of legendary gauntlets, helmets etc. in the loot table. Also give us the blue flame buff after finishing one.
Make nightfalls great again!
Cheers everyone!
Edit: Holy moly! We're trending fast! Keep it going ya'll!
Edit 2: Its funny how people say that only "hardcore" players want Y1 NFs back. If i remember correctly, I am anything but one. Yes, I'm day one, yes I ONCE soloed Valus in Y1 after 2 1/2 hrs. But i only started raiding a month before RoI came out. I also only completed WotM once on normal. Imo Bungo isn't catering to enough to people that play the game for longer periods of time.
Edit 3: A lot of people don't want to return to orbit when they wipe, but much rather restart at the beginning, which is perfectly fine. And it is a lot better!

I would rather wipe to beginning instead of orbit. But also I would rather wipe than wait to revive someone for 30 seconds. Now if the all dead wipe to beginning/orbit was still around... typically when someone dies or two members die... the third is normally playing safe and will take XXX amount of time anyways to get to you and revive.

4 답변I'm for it. I like the rewards. I liked the challange. And guess what destiny is an mmo fps. (Shared world shooter to bungie). If you can't or won't access a part of the game. O well. Look at trials. People refuse to go in. People litterally get cheated out of it. But what does bungie say. O it's for elite only. So why can't pve have that. If you can't dedicate time to a game that requires time as the main component to getting good or items your in the wrong game. Catering to the lowest denominator is what's killing destiny. Has been for a long time. That and the outright refusal to tell us freaking anything about what's going on with the game and forcing us to find out ourselves

Nah, don't waste my time sending me to orbit. At most, just send me back to the start of the nightfall, but not orbit. That's just wasted time. Personally I'd prefer it like it is as dying and going to orbit was just frustrating and I play games to chill, not sweat.

I've been wanting them to fix the Nightfalls ever sinced they ruined them. There was nothing better than doing the Nightfall on Tuesday and going to the tower with that cool blue flame on. I do like the points/time challenge bounty we get to do now a lot though. They've made them somewhat challenging again, so that's a step in the right direction.

12 답변I love when people say that Y1 nightfalls were better because of the rewards and the challenge... Like... Y'all do remember that in Y1 your rewards included... 3-9 strange coins 1-2 ascendant material 5 motes of light BLUE engrams Gear for classes you didn't have If you got lucky, a legendary engram that turned into a blue at cryptarch Maybe a 2% chance at an exotic. Did everyone forget about how pissed people were after busting their ass through a nightfall just to get 1 ascendant energy??? The only reason to run nightfall in Y1 was the week long 2x XP buff People say the new nightfalls are not as challenging... Then they come on the forums and cry because a strike has no shield Regen, solar burn/ grounded or something stupid.

1 답변I agree on only 2 points of Y1 nightfalls. You wipe, you go to orbit and blue flamage.
-
I say return the blue flame if you achieve the Invincible bounty only in the Nightfall. Maybe that's not a big deal , but it's something to achieve that doesn't involve weapons for leveling up. The blue flame really isn't that great but it's something to do in the game that's different from the current grind. It would be nice to have more of that this year

I completely agree with you. I miss the challenge that came with year1 nightfalls. That feeling when your team finally beats it, or even the feeling of beating your first solo nightfall. Also in regatd to returning a few things back, can we have Valus T'Arc get his overwhelming amount of health back. He was in my opinion, the best strike boss because of how much like a real boss he was. Tanky, Overpowered at times, and gives Zero Fuqs. Now he shoots a pea shooter, and bows out after a few minutes. He is to easy

I did love year 1 nightfalls, however I understand why they made the change. Because of the fact that you would be kicked to orbit when team wiped, it was causing people to develop a play style of hanging back on bosses and sniping. Bungie didn't want this so they changed it so you could run around more and not be afraid of losing your progress. So I think it was a good change all in all, but I do miss those yr 1 cheese spot days with my icebreaker

I think the current time limit for the sunrise bounty has helped - there's less room to f up and I've had some runs with randoms where we've not managed it when the modifiers are tough. Better than the 'I've died in a shit spot, hang on while I log out and rejoin' way I cheesed my way through omnigul arc burns...
